A ton. None involving the Sens... Though I will post some news in the appropriate thread momentarily.

I wonder why they have to do that. What are the rules under the CBA for players not honoring their contract? If he truly retires then that's covered under the CBA and the cao hit stays. If he simply goes to the KHL I assume they have to officially suspend him. Does a player suspended by the team still add to the cap hit?

I also thought it would be Detroit months ago.
I say Stamkos ends up with the Panthers. A young team with lots of cap space and he remains in warm Florida where he can still go out without getting harassed by fans.

That's a pretty bold prediction, but moving that dead weight contract (Savard) sure makes it possible. Of course, that would mean that the Panthers make a big trade in the future. They have a lot of guys whose RFA status is coming up soon (Huberdeau, Smith, Ekblad, Petrovic) and Trocheck is there now.
i don't know. They have plenty of C's and stamkos isn't gonna sign where they will push him to the wing.PTFlea wrote:spader wrote:Hobiesens wrote:dennycrane wrote:All of the rumored teams for Stamkos are in the Atlantic (Montreal, Detroit, Buffalo, Toronto, TB). Florida would be a perfect destination for him, not a bad idea at all.

His list of followers include Scott Burnside, Nic St. Pierre, Mike Brophy, Wayne Scanlan, Don Brennan, Dmitry Chesnokov.
What makes a rumour fake? Lots of legit rumours never pan out because a deal is not done until it's done. Doesn't make it fake. Someone once did a little stat study on Eckland and his hitting average was pretty pathetic. As far as I know this guy was never subjected to this kind of scrutiny.
Can you list the "fake" rumours he has started?

The point is it's not a reputable source of information.
Source says the Blackhawks have signed North Dakota F Nick Schmaltz. No contract details yet.
