How long until Chabot is traded for Drouin?

Brian Lawton says the Sens have tabled a dynamic offer for Drouin.

If true,  I hope it's not Chabot and our 1st.

I hope it's not White.

I'd rather trade Chabot over white.

And Lawton was the first overall pick in 1983

I know Lawton used to be a player but back when I think I was still in Montreal. I remember him with the Whalers but for some reason my first thought was Minnesota. He was also a GM but I can't remember for whom. One of the expansion teams, maybe one of the Florida ones?

The interesting thing from that Lawton tweet is he said the Lighting will make a decision "tomorrow" (today):

@Generalguy41 @KadriSens I figured. Prince/Wier/Englund or Wilkstrand and either a 2nd 2016 or 1st 2017 for Drouin/Paq/prospect

It would be great if we only gave up this year's first and not Chabot or White, but I doubt that very much

Hard to say. Remember Turris, a comparable to Drouin based on age, reputation, ranking etc. got a top prospect and a 2nd. Ottawa should never consider trading their 1st round pick. Tampa said they need a RD and Ottawa is not trading Ceci after finally solidifying their blue line.

Who should get more in a trade? Hoffman or Drouin? It should be Hoffman who I think is a sleeper to be moved tomorrow.

Interesting what's happening. Smith is driving his trade value up (he won't be moved Monday so this doesn't really belong here) and between Lazar/Pageau/Paul we have enough to cover the 3LC/4LC positions.

But that 2nd intermission interview with Murray certainly didn't sound like he was extremely optimistic (or even eager) about keeping Hoffman, and with Smith playing the wing, we are looking at having to replace 2 wingers. MacArthur will be back, but he's a huge question mark. On of the above three mentioned centers will likely also play wing. I guess we'll find out if Drouin is another later today.

How about Hoffman for Ericksson? Ericksson is a better player but he's not signed and wants term and $$. Would he take less to play with Karlsson?
