Zibby is one of 5 major pieces we have available to get a top 6 centre.

I believe, barring winning the draft lottery, either Zibby or White will be one piece and one of Chabot/2016 1st/2017 1st will be the other.

I have my favourite 2 targets, Duchesne and Dreisitl but I would be happy with anyone under 30 who is a clear upgrade.

Ideally a LH shot, right?

I wish for Duchene please, we'll NEVER get Dreisitl. Would you trade Dreisitl if you could trade RNH instead?

Ideally, yes a LH shot, but to me that's overblown, The most important thing is to not get smaller or slower in upgrading ZBad

if Edmonton wins the draft lottery they could move Draisitl and RNH.

Getting Draisitl, who Murray has tried to get previously would likely cost a player (Zbad), a prospect (Chabot) and a 1st round pick, or after listening to Chiapet yesterday maybe a White, Englund, Smith and a 1st. They want size and they are going to make moves this summer. Of course if they aren't in a position to get Matthews they will likely move their pick and RNH to get what they need.

Happy to move Chabot, 1st + Zbad for Draisitl, but they should focus on RNH and Eberle and call it a day. Draisitl is the answer for them. Maybe even look to move Hall.

He is the answer, unless they get Matthews. You do realize Matthews might have been picked befor Eichel if he had been born 2 days earlier.

In any deal with Edmonton, they are looking for quality defencemen coming back. So, barring someone off the roster, that's going to be Chabot for sure.

What a 1-2 punch that could be though. Trade RNH for a D-man and run Matthews/McDavid as your Cs and Draisitl either as a 2B or move to wing.

Mayor Chiarelli didn't say all that much but the coach really came out blasting with his "maybe we need to get rid of some players" remark.

Might want to edit that post and move your words outside of all the quote tags.

Unless that meant as a mental exercise for us to figure out which of those paragraphs was not like the others; in which case, thanks!

Chiapet repeated that he wants to get bigger or heavier 5 times in 2 sentences.

I disagree. It measures the clutch factor. I think one problem people have with stats is that they want stats to do too much. I think the GWG stat is useful because it can show who's a "big game" type of player.

Sorry, you're wrong. A player can score a goal in the first period to make a game 1-0 (or 2-1 or 3-2 or 5-1 or 4-0 or whatever) and have it end up being the GWG. You could also pot an empty netter and then have that be the GWG too...It has nothing to do with being clutch or a "big game" player.

I'd agree to a point. I don't think it's a cut-and-dried "he has a bunch of GWG and is therefore a clutch player" kind of thing. I do, however, think that a player who has a lot of GWG is likely to be more of a clutch player. Sure, some of those GWG will come from early game scores, but stats help show trends, they don't define. If you tend to score more goals when your team is tied with the other, that might mean that you're a clutch player.

What about an OT goal in a winner-take-all gold-medal game?  Is that clutch?
