What?  They were pretty good in the third but Anderson saved the game multiple times before that.  As much as I malign him, he was fully deserving of the 1st star.

I had the best view in the house last night. He was good but the Sabres weren't threatening with most of their shots.

Ive liked it since we added dion.  Ceci has been a completely different player too

Agreed.  He's been much better at jumping into the rush.  Basically how he played his first year when he was paired up with a veteran left-handed defenseman Smile

I haven't seen a whole game with Dion yet. This is good to hear though. I assumed he was still getting his bearings. Sounds like we'll get a good look at what we really have on D over the next few games.

Our top 4 D are good now. I don't really care about the 3rd pairing other than trying to ensure they can play either PP or PK. Wideman looks like a stop gap until we upgrade at the trade deadline next year, in order to maintain our lead atop the division and provide depth for the long playoff run to come. Beer

I like Wideman. I think he's worth hanging onto while he continues to develop his NHL game.

Dion has stepped in and played like a true Top 3 D-Man. Ceci is about the same and the only improvement is on his pairing and not really with him as a player. He's always jumped into the rush so this is nothing new.

That's what got us into trouble with Cowen and Weircioch. 2 years 4M.

Ceci has proved more even with his ups and down than wier when he earned his deal. Plus time has passed. Contracts have gotten bigger.

Ceci is definitely getting paid. Like I said, they may move Hoffman for scraps because Ceci needs big dollars for being a "Top 4."

3x3 would be pretty reasonable and would still bring him to being an rfa right? Or am I counting it wrong?

Certainly reasonable but why would he settle for that?

All it took for Ceci to turn his game around was a 7 million/year defense partner. Would be interesting to see the Dion effect on other players.

Probably will relax Bobby a bit, now that he's no-longer the highest paid on the team. And if Burkie didn't think he could spell "i-n-t-e-n-s-e" before, look out for the new, decaffeinated Bobby.

He has no arbitration rights. I stand by my prediction of 2 years 4M total.

Speaking of Bobby, he's doing that mid to late season slump thing again...or at least the early stages of it.
