Oduya would be a perfect option beside Karlsson and he won't be commanding 5 x 5 either.

What has the team done with Methot in the lineup? Have they ever been dominant or anything like that? I don't think it's a big loss if he leaves. The last two years with Methot has resulted in below average playoff team, 10th last, and another bottom 10 finish. If you put another guy with Karlsson, it may take some getting used to and some growing pains, but I don't think the Sens are worse off because of it. It's not like a Cup contender losing their top pairing guy.

If you can replace Methot fine but look at EK's play with Methot. You have something that works after trying and failing for three months with different pieces.
In building a team, build from the net out. Done. Then build the D. A top 4 of 3/65/2/5 could be a very good one in 1-2 years time. If the team can get a #1 center (which they don't currently have), the Sens could be a contender in a couple of years.

The 6th Sens had a piece up last week that showed Wiercioch has actually been better with Karlsson than anybody else. I'm not big advanced stats but it was interesting.

Uhhh, yeah he can, and he's really good at it too. I dunno why this Mike Green talk started, but there is no way in hell he's coming here. To suggest otherwise is to ignore a whole slew of facts.

Not yet. He only averages about a minute of PP time. When he truly can play PP he will be with Karlsson on the top unit. They are easing him in.

That's a fair statement but lets be honest, if Karlsson doesn't play in front of him he probably sees a lot more time on the point on the PP then he has to this point.

Just because he doesn't get a bunch of PP time doesn't mean he isn't capable. All you have to do is watch him when he's out there and you see that he's really good at it.
SpezDispensed wrote:Again, no use in acquiring a righty. Ceci needs the time to continue to develop with top 4 minutes. If you let Methot go, you need to replace him.

He's alright. He's certainly not at Karlsson or Green level.
