Agreed that we need a game breaking forward.

Lol, you put Wiercioch in the wrong sentence.  I'm reading names like Hoffman, Ceci, stone and then you try to sneak in Wiercioch. Smile

So close, yet so far. Maybe a player or two away. Only that player or two would have to be big time players. Probably not a popular proposition but I don't care since I'm probably right, as usual, if you can bag Eric Staal, that's a guy that Turdiss could use to get himself back on track. You can easily afford to let Turdiss fall back into a Line 2 role at his bargain basement price. He desperately needs someone to play behind.

One guy I look at and think "this guy is just rock solid" is young Condra. That's the kind of player the best teams have in their back pocket who will go out there, even if it's just to rest your best guys, and never hurt you and sometimes help you.

Anderson getting the start tonight after playing last night is a pretty big statement with respect to Lehner and his standing with the team. I'm frankly a little surprised.

Nothing surprising about it, Murray and the team has made their choice.

The team is off for a full week after tonight, so no need to rest Andy Greggerson.

True but it's a slap in the face to young Leonard nonetheless.

lol

Lehner would be starting if they didn't have a huge break. Nothing to see here.

also Murray won't be around for much longer to make that choice so there really is nothing to see.

Not convinced.

You don't know that.  Some people can survive for years with Stage IV  (some, not a lot Sad ) and by all measures, his treatment appears to be going well.

Edit : 5 year survival rate for Stage iv Colon cancer is 11%

Probably disappointing news for some. I wish him all the best and hope he sticks around for years to come!!!

That's kind of a messed up comment... not really funny.

I never know whether you're serious or you're joking. I assume (and hope) that on the latter part of the sentence, you're serious.

Not as messed up as comments to the effect that hopefully he won't be around to make trades or sign. Not really meant to be funny obviously. It's actually pretty ridiculous that you would think that.

Both are comments that didn't really need to be mentioned. Didn't see the word "hope" anywhere either but the point was made and implied.

I've never said anything mean spirited about anyone for starters. Same cannot be said for our belligerent pal, NEELY.

Secondly, I was really encouraged to see that Murray took such a hands on approach with Greening recently, it supported my original statement that Murray is a tough old SOB and he's not going away anytime soon.

Furthermore, we just lost my mother-in-law last year, who's been in my life for some 25 years to cancer and the wound continues to re-open as we celebrate family occasions (Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.) for the first time without her. So I'm kind of insulted but I can still roll with the punches unlike some people.

Not sure what that means. Are you referring to my comments?

No, referring to SSF. No clue what he's talking about at this point and then referring to me about some ill-advised or misguided comment about someones cancer? Pretty sure he's lost it.

Sorry that isn't what I meant. Apologies. I meant I think this will be his lat year as GM regardless. I think he steps down.
