What Am I Watching Right now?

Just started watching Riverdale on Netflix. It's a CW show so the episodes saree released weekly, not like most suited on Netflix.  If you read Archie comics when you were young, you will know most of the characters, or at least the names. The show is much farther than the comics, and with a heavy helping of Twin Peaks.  I only watched the first fifteen minutes. I think this is something my wife will enjoy as well.

P.S. Luke Perry plays Archie's dad.  I feel so old.

There's an Archie show????  Is it kid appropriate or no?  My 7 yr old loves Archie comics.

Well, let's put it this way.  Archie is walking home from working construction at his dad's company and gets picked up by Ms Grundy. Who is wearing Lolita sunglasses, btw. You don't really see much of what happens next because the windows are all steamed up.

In other words, no. Not for a 9 year old.

P.S. To add to the Twin Peaks vibe, Madchen Amik plays Betty's mom, Alice. If you recall that Betty's last name was Cooper that would make her Alice Cooper.

I'm beginning to see more shows on Netflix that are released week-by-week. I'm ok with that, actually. Lots of older stuff to watch and you can still wait and binge if you want to.

Not that you need any more encouragement, but there is even some Betty on Veronica action. While wearing cheerleader outfits.

I watched the first episode of Riverdale and totally geeked out. I have no idea if it will end up being a good show (it certainly isn't going to be a classic), but I will watch just because of the setting.

Get ready to geek out some more. Molly Ringwald has been cast to play the former Mrs. Andrews (Archie's mom). I wonder which 80s teeny-bopper they will get to play Mr. Lodge.

Well that was a quality Superbowl. Absolutely idiotic play calling by Atlanta when they needed the field goal late in the 4th to try and pass it...Lead to the sack of Ryan which lead to their demise.

I have to find a replay of the game to record it. I saw the end of the drive when they tied it and that's it.

I did see a gif of that catch, though.

Wether you like or envy Tom Brady (seriously, it's gotta be one or the other) there's no one with his resume.

Yeah, he's the best QB ever I guess. Still, Atlanta pissed this game away with terrible play calling.
