I generally trust Rotten Tomatoes with movie reviews, but for TV shows TCF is my go-to place. The "Now Playing" forum is pretty much best for that ("Now Playing" is the TiVO term for your list of recorded shows):

And then there's the guilty pleasure type of show -- you know it's bad but you still watch. For example, The Catch, started watching it because of Mireille Enos (she was fantastic in AMC's The Killing) and Peter Krause (Sports Night and Six Feet Under). It's not great, it's a Shondaland production (with all that that entails) but it's well put together and not too taxing on the brain and spirit.

One of my all time favorites, A Knight's Tale, 58% (79% audience score).

I really have to start watching The Americans. 100% for S4 on Rotten Tomatoes. I believe Shomi has the first three seasons so that's something to look forward to in the summer, I suppose. Assuming the Shomi app works with ChromeCast.

This is a Shaw message board but I believe the Shomi app is provider agnostic (i.e. there isn't a different one for Rogers vs. Shaw customers) so this should work.

The Americans is great. I've watched up to Season 4. It really is amazingly well done.

Ok, this is a spoiler, but it doesn't reveal any plot lines. The lustful look on Tormond's face when he first saw Brienne was priceless. Didn't he allegedly have an encounter with a bear? They didn't go into any detail in the show (just briefly mentioned it) but here is the story from the books:

“The woman had a terrible temper , and she put up quite the fight when I laid hands on her. It was all I could do to carry her home and get her out o’ them furs, but when I did, oh, she was hotter even than I remembered, and we had a fine old time, and then I went to sleep. Next morning when I woke the snow had stopped and the sun was shining, but I was in no fit state to enjoy it. All ripped and torn I was, and half me member bit right off, and there on me floor was a she-bear’s pelt. And soon enough the free folk were telling tales o’ this bald bear seen in the woods, with the queerest pair o’ cubs behind her. Har!” He slapped a meaty thigh. “Would that I could find her again. She was fine to lay with, that bear. Never was a woman gave me such a fight, nor such strong sons neither.”

“What could you do if you did find her?” Jon asked, smiling. “You said she bit your member off.”

“Only half. And half me member is twice as long as any other man’s.” Tormund snorted.
