Still haven't seen any of it. Are you watching it legally? If so, with Bell? Or anyone, for that matter. If you subscribe to the TMN/HBO package, is the current season of GoT available On-Demand or is it only the previous seasons? I'm thinking of signing up for 2-months at half price or whatever it is they offer. Then just watch GoT (and maybe True Detective, if I wait long enough, I guess).

I can't answer any of your questions, but I can tell you that you should do whatever you have to in order to watch it.

Funny, there hasn't been as much talk about it this season, not like in the past. How would you rate this season compared to the previous ones?

P.S. Saw the trailer for the new Terminator and kept thinking I know the new "Sarah Connor". Turns out its Dany. So all we need now is for Linda Hamilton to join the cast and they'll hit the Sarah Connor Trifecta.

This season has actually been one of my favourites. The finale was a little strange, as it was literally scene after shocking scene of events...any one of which could've been the centre-piece for a season finale.

At the same time as I've been watching this season, I've also started re-watching the entire show with my wife. It's funny how many things you forget.

The finales aren't usually all that shocking, though. Ned gets it in S1E09 (one episode before the finale). S2 ends wit the appearance of the White Walkers but that wasn't really shocking. Not sure if there was anything shocking in S2. S3, of course, has the Red Wedding in E09 (again, one before the finale). S4 has The Mountain and The Viper (pretty shocking) in E08. Ygritte's death was somewhat shocking too, in E09. I suppose Tyrion shooting Tywin on the "throne" was a bit shocking in the finale.

You know, the one thing I reproach that series is that there is so many plot lines happening all the time that I feel like an entire season feels like it should be a couple of episodes. It moves along so slowly at times! When is mutherfacking mother of dragons going to invade! When are the white walkers actually gonna go to the wall?!? It feels like I've been waiting for ages for the Dung to happen. You know by now that the finaly of the entire show will be that the white walkers will battle it out with whatever army khalessi manages to drum up and she will save the realm. It's so painfully obvious. Especially with everyone dying left and right.

It was probably the weakest season IMO.

Now that Cersei has taken the walk of Dung etc., she'll be hell bent on killing them all and them watching the Queen hang I would imagine.:

Have you seen ho far away Dany and her dragons are? I suppose she could fly them, but here army is all on foot.

And the white walkers have been waiting for a thousand years so don't expect them to be impatient.

I'm glad the answer is so painfully obvious to you as it has not been written yet by the author. And the way he's procrastinating it looks like he wants to see where the TV writers take the story, first.

But it's great that at least someone knows how it ends.

All my spoilers were from past seasons. Statue of limitation has long expired.

"Rosebud" is the name of his sled.

Half of this season has been different from the books. I think I have watched my last episode. They cut half the characters, half the storyline, killed some people that are not even supposed to die etc.
First 4 seasons were good, this one very disappointing from a book reader perspective.
GRRM's talent as a storyteller has left the TV show.

Just make the disconnect. I can't say I read the books but I don't know why it would change anything.

Look at the walking dead the series has gone on a complete different path than the books(which I read) and for the most part it's better that way. The series no longer has to live up to the books and vice versa. The same could apply for GOT. If they can veer away enough from the books you will be able to enjoy two different things as they will no longer be related enough to compare.
