My age is in the profile. It's not a new revelation.

The on-going CRTC/Netflix hearing is apparently quite ridiculous.

You can check out Jesse Brown's twitter feed for some play-by-play action.

Hilarious. Love some of the comments when he asked who bypasses the geo-blocking to get to the US content.

I do, and I wouldn’t pay for the awful canadian version. I’d go back to piracy.

Watched part 1 and almost done with part 2. Those CRTC bunghole think they are entitled to anything? My god they are so full of themselves. "The committee orders you to ..." every couple minutes. Where entertainment and big business is concerned, Canada is a a rural village compared to the US. The only reason Canada was Netflix's first "foreign" country was because it is so similar (tastes, language) to the US. They have a half million subscribers in Canada. Is all this hassle really worth it to Netflix?

Watched the pilot of Veronica Mars on Netflix while exercising. Very good show. I was hoping this would be something the girls could get into, but the site is definitely not for 11-12 year olds.

Oh, please, are you *that* insecure?

For one thing, I'm looking for shows for the girls to watch -- you will be in that phase soon enough.

For another, Kristeb Bell is not exactly difficult on the eyes (and for you pervs, she was 24 when the show started).

Lastly, it's a very good show. I've only seen one episode, but I've read lots of very positive reviews and the pilot was excellent.

The whole thing was surreal.  Can you imagine how many tax dollars are used up by the CRTC?  Unbelievable.

Canada is a complete joke when it comes to Cable, Internet and Telecommunications. There will never be healthy competition in this country. It's probably the most corrupted sector in Canada.

How could people watch the Pilot of Gotham and say it was 'cool'? I don't get it, Gordon was okay, but his partner couldn't act at all.

Basically, it wanted to be Sherlock, but wasn't close to being as smart or entertaining.

Big thumbs down, I'm out of watching this one.

How to get Away with Murder was very good though.

What I have found is that the general population has extremely low expectations when it comes to TV shows. Not trying to sound like a snob, but how people can watch the vast majority of evening programming is beyond me. I pretty much stick to Netflix/HBO series where the production values tend to be higher.

Oh, and I love Big Brother.

That has to be what it is. This was the first time I watched a regular TV show and it pales in comparison to HBO.

Agreed with you Tim, It's like Big Bang Theory I couldn't finish a single episode every time I tried and it's pretty much the most popular comedy out there.
I stick to HBO and a couple shows here and there. Just watching sports right now waiting for True Detective Season 2 and Game of Thrones.

I think I struggle the most with sit-coms...beyond Seinfeld, I'm having trouble thinking of one that was actually funny and good.

Modern Family wasn't bad for a couple seasons, but just got so damn repetitive.
