Sens played close to perfect hockey tonight against a pretty solid team.

Two from the back-end and an empty netter. Yet a lot of the rewards had good games.

On that 2-on-1 after EK lost the puck at the blue line, Bobby Ryan looked pretty intense beating Karlsson on the back check and diving at the last second.

I can't believe how much Dung the Wings got away with. On the disallowed goal Smith grabbed the forwarded stick and bowled over his goalie. Why was that disallowed? It's not like the goalie took a skate. Play should have been allowed to continue for at least a few seconds. He never even missed a shift. And we didn't even get a PP. In the last minute Abdelkader pushes Gryba right into the crease - interference. That call on Cowen was bush league. He was trying to get around a guy skating *away* from the o zone. That's not holding. And Franzen is such a diver it was disgusting to watch.

Should have been 3-0 after one. Shouldn't have been close. Anderson had a good game, made that horrible giveaway and somehow made the save.

Thought Cowen was pretty good.

Lazar looked a little nervous.

Phillips didn't finish the game. Wonder if they'll call someone up.

Wiercioch GWG. Trade him now for that third or second pick!

That's a hell of a game. We should have won that going away, last years team would have gotten discouraged and lost IMO.

I can't believe how good Ceci is.

Will be interesting to see how Zibanejad bounces back after being a healthy scratch in this game.

Completely dominated those mofos. The 1st period was ridiculous. 5 One touch passes before the Karlsson 1st goal was amazing to watch. Kid line is legit, defense was solid and confident. All in all, great effort.

I was saying that last night to someone, I honestly wasn't a fan but wow, kid is unreal.

It was a goaltending duel, and Matrix was fantastic. He should certainly be getting the next game, and take the majority of the games until he falters. He's our best goalie right now.

Thought MacLean showed some balls having the kid line out there late. I've been really impressed by Stone. He's turning into quite the power forward.

Assuming Phillips is out, I am guessing Claesson gets the call-up over Wideman, since Freddy is a left-handed shot.

Yeah, stone's been incredible. What a smart, skilled player.

Also, assuming they call-up Claesson, I hope they pair him immediately with Karlsson. No sense messing with the Cowen/Ceci or Wiercioch/Gryba pairings. Claesson played well with Karlsson in the pre-season.

If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best. And we did that last night.

Debatable but right now it's comparing a jag to a benz... doesn't really matter who's in there, both goalies are playing some of the best hockey in the NHL. Like Lehner, I can't see how you pull Anderson after a game like that but who knows.

I think Claeson would be the guy getting the call right now simply because he's a lefty, but also because he plays a similar game to Phillips otherwise I think Wideman would get the nod.

Don't touch Cowen right now, he's playing really well and they just need to leave him where he is and turn the things he is learning from conscious thought to habit.

This group is going to have some bad games along the way but you can see it all coming together along with the forward group. I hope people stop jumping off bridges like they did on Saturday after a poor outing because it's par for the course with a young team, especially against a team like the Bruins who know how to win in a jam and at times dominate.
