Bryan Murray says he has a Spezza deal with Nashville. But couldn't get Spezza to go


Now why would Murray make that public?  Lots of tension surrounding this Spezza issue now.  No way he can come to play.  Just waiting for Spezza to speak up about why he really wants to go further damaging an already bad reputation that the Sens have.

All he has to do is stay there for 1 f'in year. Then he can leave for St Louis. What is so wrong with Nashville. They have a new coach and are going more offensive game plans. Neal, Weber, Seth Jones, Josi, Rinne - all really good players.

Appears to be. He was so vocal about Heatley leaving and doing what is best for the team.

The media is all over this now. Moot point that Murray said anything the media would have found out anyway.

I guess Spezza figures a contender will step up and make a deal. But now it's all about what is best for the team.

I hope Murray does a deal that is best for the team, and not best for the player like he did with Fisher & Kelly.

Not exactly a rip, but clearly he's frustrated and does not understand why Spezza does not want to play in Nashville. I don't either to be honest. They are making some solid moves to improve.

At the end of the day, Spezza has a limited NTC so we can't be crapping on him for exercising his right. It Cussing sucks but it is what it is.

I would like to see the CBA adopt a rule when a player asks for a trade, their NTC/NMC/whatever is dissolved.

The one thing I can say for this, if Murray was asked about the Spezza trade situation all he had to say is that I had a trade done to a team on his no-go list that he wouldn't waive for.

He didn't have to come out to say it was Nashville.

But Poile is doing most of the damage in way of what he is saying.  He's pretty angry or should I say insulted.
