Murray was mindfucking the media yesterday again I think... talking about how Spezza has 1 more year in his contract and if the right deal is not there he'll be a Sen etc... heh.

People thought yesterday that Berglund was signed to be traded....but if that were the case, you'd think it would've happened pretty much immediately.

Depends... there were also rumours that Berglund was going to St.Louis for Kadri and then flip Kadri to Ottawa.  If that's actually the case there are probably other pieces involved and moving parts which might take time to really nail down especially if Murray was also listening to other offers.  Again, I know people wanted this done last week but there is no reason to make a move before you get everyone's best offer and those won't come until the 5 mins before the drafts starts or IMO when Anaheim picks @ #10.

Also given the fact that teams are talking to FAs, AND Ryan Kesler is out there....lots of things holding this up.

I just really hope I get a notification tonight, while I'm boozing it up next to a camp fire, that Spezza's gonzo.

It can't go on really because it'll mess up our July 1st targets. I would think they want to have their piece in place from the trade and sign guys based on that.

You guys are so quick to crap on things you don't agree with. Why wouldn't he want to play in Florida and why wouldn't Dale Tallon want him on his team?
Vancouver is rebuilding, Florida is looking to spend this summer. Vancouver wants to trade him to the East. This isn't rocket science...

Why would Kesler want to play in Florida other than for the weather and lack of state tax?

We already know his list, and Florida is not on it.

Other than the fact that it's not on his list it's been expressed that he wants to play for a contender. We're not crapping on anyone were just not playing NHL 15 playing guess what scenario can we imagine.
