@SunGarrioch
Can confirm @MarkLazerus report CHI has shown interest in Spezza. May be six teams - some kicking tires. Murray will speak later. #Sens

If they can land Saad I will be a happy camper.

Some of the six kicking tires or some in addition to the six?  Ahhhhh!

I doubt Chicago bites...they have to carefully manage the cap, and have Toews and Kane to resign.

If Chicago can't land anyone better then they might try and get Spezza... can't really see it but hey, he just has to come in and do his job there.  Not a whole lot expected from him but goals and assists and that's right up his alley.

Easy to convince a guy to take less on his salary if he's signed long term and they know they will be going for the cup each year.

There's nobody better out there. Most bang for the buck of anyone on the market.

Chicago has a bunch of d-men and Kane and Toews coming up for contracts...no way they take on Spezza.

Arizona has do many nice pieces. Yandle and his 50+ points, boedker, hanzal. One of the better free agent wingers in vrbada. The 14th ov.

So much to use as trade bait.

I should start calling them Arizona, yes...

Boedker is the guy I would want back along with their pick.  Not even sure if you need another prospect in there at this point but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to land Samulsson... big centers with skill are tough to find but his upside could be pretty limited.  Won a Mem Cup though so there is something to be said about that.

Spezza for Vermette and Klinkhammer.

Seriously though, Yandle is The Man, and I would take him straight-up for Spezza. He's only 27 years old!

There's no wrong answer from Arizona really.

Boedker - 24 years old, coming into his own quickly, decent size, definite 20+ goal guy in the future

Yandle - one of the better offensize D-men in the league. Coming off a poor year in the +/- category, but sizzling offense. Imagine him and Karlsson? Wow.

Hanzal - one of the better 2-way Cs in the league - a friggin monster

I'd rather trade for a stud d-man because they are harder to come by (certainly sounds like we won't be getting Dan Boyle via free agency).

In fact, we might have to add to Spezza to get Yandle, but I'd still consider it. That said, I have a hard time imagining the Yotes would give up Yandle.

Too many rumours around Yandle the last year and a half or so for it not to be out there.

The yotes need spezza more then they need yandle. No way would we have to add for that to go through. I'd still aim at some forwards Hanzal or boedker.

People seem to be going mad thinking today is the day. I hold to my predictions, tomorrow, draft floor.

Everybody's wishful thinking.
Of course if I'm predicting it's tomorrow then it will likely be today. I never get anything right.

You know, we could use a guy like that in Ottawa.
