If they can score Teravinen out of Spezza... that's a score. Hasn't proven enough to be a 1 for 1 deal despite his high ceiling... I would have to assume it would be something like Leddy, TT, 1st.

chicago could put a very attractive package together for spezza but they don't look like they could fit the 7 mill in their cap without some serious juggling. they seem more suited for Kesler. my bet is that we're leverage in a way where they are telling vancouver they have other options.

You would think it gets done today...if NOT today, we could be waiting for a long time for it to get done.

I have no issue with it going into the summer as no hockey is being played.  Yah, I would like to see an end to it all together as well but fact of the matter is if Murray believes his best deal won't come along until mid August then so be it.  2015 draft picks will be in play at that point, same with 2016, Murray could indeed get more.

With that said there is no way Spezza comes back to the Sens next year and if Murray truly means what he says about #19 starting the season in Ottawa it might be time for him to go as well.

Maybe next summer when Spezza walks for nothing. Unless he gets dealt for a conditional 5th at the deadline.

Murray was mindfucking the media yesterday again I think... talking about how Spezza has 1 more year in his contract and if the right deal is not there he'll be a Sen etc... heh.
