Nice to see Kesler off the board.

Sucks for the Ducks to pay that much for an inferior player to Spezza but that's their problem. Yeah, I know, he's a "warrior, blah, blah, blah..." He'll play about 30 - 50 games a year and be out of the lineup for the playoffs or ineffective due to crippling injury.

Honestly, besides the shoulder thing WTF is wrong with Berglund?  He's a solid NHL player who scores 20 basically every year and is solid in all 3 zones.  He could be a solid player for the Sens for a very long time and he's just entering his prime.

Murray is over playing his hand in a big way if that's the case.  2 NHL roster players, 1st round pick, and a 3rd?

That said the return on Kessler may be less just because he would only go to 2 teams.

So is Stastny the real domino and Spezza doesn't move until Stastny is decided?

Kessler had two destination for van to choose from. Not so for spezza. Here's hoping dallas and Chicago put a nice package forward.

If St.Louis, Dallas, and Chicago are all trying to land Spezza then Murray will make a decent trade IMO.  We'll see what happens in the next few hours, Spezza doesn't make it past pick 14.

Inconsistent, injury problems, career high of 52 points at age 26. He's not really going to get any better, and he may end up #3C if Zibanejad locks down #2 spot. Not bad just nothing special and a lame return for a player of Spezza's skilset. Depends on what St. Louis adds to that(1st rounder and/or prospect), doubt we're getting Schwartz or Tarasenko.

Only good thing is he's a leftie and Swedish which will up the Swedish quotient on the team so maybe Karlsson will stop moping.
