Also, yes Sandy. Stop posting on SC, it's full of morons who's opinions are beyond ignorant.
GM Hockey
I hardly ever go to SC anymore, only when i'm bored as hell and i've gone pretty much anywhere else i could go for info. (he's just a step above hockey buzz)Michallica wrote:I haven't been on SC for 2 years now. So glad....it's just doom and gloom and let's hate on melnyk session there 24/7. I guess you'll resort to that kind of noise when you have no real inside sources anymore.

These guys seriously need a life because anyone that has that much time on their hands really doesn't have a ton of purpose on this earth.

In all fairness, you can't judge someone who is passionate about a cause for wanting to do something about it. What makes *you* a better fan for saying "It's business and I can't do anything about it?" Do you think when I scream "Come one ref!" while sitting in my living room it makes the tiniest amount of difference? Wouldn't be surprised if a few things got broken around the city of Ottawa when PK scored that OT goal after they blew the 4-1 lead in the last 3-1/2 minutes. Fans do things that make non-fans raise their eyebrows all the time.
Now, granted, the deliberate, premeditated act of establishing a Face Book event and gathering at a specific time in a specific place is not the same as a real-time expression(however loud) of joy or disgust, but who are we to judge, really. And as for saying they don't "have a ton of purpose on this earth" that's just a bit over-the-top. From the pictures I saw of the last one it was a bunch of retired people. You don't get all up in arms when they go to the mall at 7AM to do a bit of mall-walking, so why concern yourself when they go walking on Parliament Hill. Couple of days ago a bunch of people went there to smoke some weed. Is that a cause you support? Or how about that poor beat up dog? You support your causes, other people support theirs. No need to judge.

W.P. Rager the Contrarian strikes again to tell us that we're wrong.
Prags, anyone that gathers to protest trading Spezza is an idiot. If not because it's a dumb cause to waste time on, then because they don't realize it'll be a good thing for the hockey team.

And make no mistake about it, it IS a dumb cause to waste time on. Protest worthwhile things, sure. Dogs being mistreated, unfair laws, things that matter. But to protest for a millionaire playing a game is incredibly stupid.

Cogliano and a first would be fine with me. Honestly, the return isn't even that important.

I don't see how you just piss away a skilled NHL centre, no matter how unpopular he is in the market he plays in.
