Michalek - Berglund - Lazar
Greening - Smith - Neil
Condra

That's a forward core I could live with.

Apparently... rumours only... the asking price for Stewart by Tim Murray was Lazar.  Now Tim will try to rob the Sens blind of their good prospects to get Stewart.. and since I can't get on capgeek today for some reason... is Stewart a UFA in the next year or two?

where did that come from??? hahahahahahaha

i don't think Tim would of even bothered asking Brian that. he'd know the answer.

Other 3?  No idea.  Either way this is a complete no brainer.

Toronto?

depending on what jason wants. he is a toronto boy. probably wants a little less scrutiny for sure but he might want to play for the team he cheered for as a kid. that said i would not deal him to toronto.

That would definitely surprise me. If he has some control, I'm sure he'd at least want the option of playing at home.

I think if Phoenix offered up the right deal for Spezza that would make a lot of sense for both the Yotes and Spezza.

Tim would aim high in one of his first trades and he has his favorites in our org.  Ottawa was under pressure to make the playoffs there's no reason for him not to try.

He praised Zibanejad yesterday as well, I can see him asking for that as well.

He know what Bryan needs and he knows he has a player that would fit so he has leverage.

I don't think Bryan would bite on Lazar or Zib, not a chance(I certainly hope not at least).

Pretty rare for a star TO player to want to play in TO. If Spezza thinks he has it rough here, he'll be grilled to a crisp in Toronto once the media set him in their sights.

Haha exactly.  Ottawa has nothing on Toronto.  Also Shanahan has a thing for winners which Spezza is not.

He'd fit in best in a non traditional market where few of the fans know what backchecking means.

Phoenix would be nice, Hanzal or Boedker etc. We'd never get OEL in a million years, shame since he and EK looked so good in Sochi.

You might be able to get Hanzal, a prospect, and a pick for Spezza.  Don't think Hanzal/Boedker, Samuelsson, and a 1st is that far off to be honest.

Man I'd wet myself if we get Hanzal. Turris/Hanzal/Zibanejad? That's the Bruins and potentially even better.

I'd Dung myself if we got Hanzal. Not happening I don't think.

that is one big C yes, and wouldn't be a bad component of a deal. but i'd prefer if we could get some scoring in a deal. not familiar with samuelsson. wonder if there would be any way to get Domi out of them.

Samuelsson from the Oil Kings? Chemistry with Lazar for sure but he's a pretty selfish player, he rarely passes the puck.

Still a solid prospect and he's a big lad.  Big, skilled, and a little bit of a mean streak so that's exactly what a Murray type player would look like.

We need a bidding war, pretty simple. Any desperate GM can do stupid things when there's 10 other teams trying to acquire the guy.
