What do you mean 'until' they become the leaders.  IMO Turris is the leader of the forward group with the way he plays, the way he acts, the way he talks, everything.  MacArthur too.

been saying it all year. Turris is the guy i could see being captain but emotionally he still seems pretty young. maybe a couple more years. there's no doubt he's respected for the effort he puts in. personally i think we need a stop gap captain, maybe a macarthur might be a good idea.
but IMO they need to go into next season with no captain and let someone rise out as the clear leader, alternate captains if you must have one. i just don't buy in that phillips and neil should even be in the mix of possible assistants. i'd chose 3 out of turris, mac, ryan and karlsson.

I think they'll try, but get told no personally. Berglund might be a nice option anyway, as long as he comes with a top prospect or the equilvalent.

Problem is, the kid says that we need to give Spezza "at least one more year".  You either have to resign Spezza this summer or trade him.  I can't see any way you can look at his injury history AND poor on-ice performance this year (particularly in the defensive zone), and possibly think it's a good idea to resign him long-term.

He probably wrote something along the lines of "Sens need new leadership" but his boss probably corrected the poor rookie.

That article seems to imply that Spezza is more vocal in the room vs. Alfie's lead by example.

Must be hilarious to hear his pep talks and calling others accountable for their play when he's dogging it out there on the ice ignoring everything the coach says.
