I mind that quite a bit. We're so quick to jettison guys here

I agree, we're probably a little quick on the draw here. I don't think too many of us would be freaking out if the Sens had actually played WELL in the majority of games so far. We could have the identical record we do now, but if we had some sort of consistent effort, we'd be a lot calmer. The problem now is too many guys look "comfortable". I'd say that Ryan, Z-Bad, Turris, and Neil are the forwards who actually look to be putting up consistent efforts.

Maybe we could borrow Torts for a week to scare everybody?

I suggest new lines:

Conacher-Spezza-ZBad
Greening-Turris-Ryan
MacArthur-Grant-Condra
Michalek-Smith-Neil
Why are you demoting Mac? He's been very good, lately, and all those chances he's generating will start going in soon.

Other than that, I like the top six. But in the bottom six I'd slide Condra down (for a few games, at least) and Smith up. Grant can switch to wing.

Greening-Smith-Grant
Michalek-Condra-Neil

Not sure about Michalek on the 4th line but they won't move him to Bingo. Also not sure about Condra at center but I want some secondary scoring from the third line, which precludes Condra from playing there.

I wasn't really looking at it as a demotion, more about trying to spread around some offensive capability. Also, Michalek on the 4th line just means you play that line more...roll 4 lines and the guys can keep the energy up.

I will publish five offers for Michalek. Pls discuss.

There's no trade that can fix this. Kneejerk trades usually do more harm than good.

Michalek will be let go - you take what you get for him.

Steve Ott and Spezza played together in the past. This is a guy that will be a Senator IMO. Prince will be going the other way given he's from the state and they need skill.

Dung saying not close. Very close, the boot was moving, not just turning.
Who cares how the boot is moving when the stick touches the puck? lol
uh the stick didn't hit it, it was his skate. Just no kicking motion. Feel stupid now?

I am just salivating at how perfect Steve Ott would be. Grit, faceoffs, scorer. Everything.

Every loss turns into a blame-Michalek-and-Anderson-fest. Lots more wrong with this team. Actually the same as every year wrong with this team, weak PP, missing the net all the time, not enough legit top-6 players, depth lacking at D. The new wrinkle to all this is that passes are missing the mark in a big way more than I've seen in a long time.

Luckily, goaltending is fine and I think it would remain fine even if we were to trade Anderson as long as it's not to add "depth" and a pick. It would have to be to add some Top 6 help or a Top - 4 calibre D or else it's not worth doing.

Bet if it was spezza responsible for two straight GWGs for the opposition, certain ppl would have already ran him over the proverbial bus...numerous times. However the man with that distinction is none other than Erik Karlsson, who's Donkey ppl are still willing to kiss. Yes it's a team issue right now as the team just isn't ready to play the opposition, but call a spade a spade and karlsson has been atrocious defensively and been the direct cause of two straight GWGs. Unacceptable, don't care how well his offensive game seems to be coming back, last I checked he's a DEFENCEMAN.

Sens are also not prepared. Two home games this weekend with opposition playing 2nd of a back to back. To come away with 0 points is absolutely unacceptable. That's also 3 straight home games where sens have been down 2-0 in the first period. I'm not quick to give too much credit to the sharks and ducks....they're good teams but are the oilers a good team? Very disappointing, they had a giant letdown and got pretty cocky I bet after that detroit victory. Lesson learned, hopefully.....
