GAME DAY: San Jose Sharks @ Ottawa Senators - 7:30pm ET - THUR. Dec. 2, 2010
"A long time a comin'"
The Ottawa Senators (11-13-1, 23pts) play host to the San Jose Sharks (11-8-4, 26pts) Thursday. As we all know this is the first time Heatley will face the Sens on the ice in Ottawa since demanding a trade out of town. The boo birds are expected to be in full flight and don't be surprised if there's a few expletives thrown his way in the form of mass chants as well. The Sens would love to get a win right now regardless of the opponent but, for the fans at least, it would make this night that much sweeter to get it done against the Sharks. The Sens are now 2 games below 500 thanks to a very embarrassing 4-1 loss to the Oilers on Monday. The Sharks are coming off a 5-3 loss to the power house Wings and are looking to regain their usual regular season dominance. Rumours started to heat up yesterday afternoon of a possible trade between Ottawa and Phoenix which could just be speculation running wild with the assumption that Murray is beginning to get desperate to try to improve this teams fortunes and fuel was added to the fire with Lee being put on waivers.
Fans should enjoy this game regardless of the score because it's their first real chance to show Dany how much they dislike what he did and the corner he pushed Murray in to in order to get a deal done with San Jose.
