Well...except for Zibanejad there and probably without Pageau on the top line.

If I was to guess, we'll start the game with

Greening - Spezza - Ryan
Michalek - Turris - MacArthur
Conacher - Pageau - Neil

as the top 9. We'll see though, we have a lot of options. You can't bring up Zibanejad right away if you want that lesson to sink in.

I'm a big Andy supporter, but what makes you think he's starting tonight?  If I'm Mac, I'm going with Lehner and then taking it from there.
The reason I see The Gregger starting is that "Mac" doesn't want to hang that loss to the Ducks on him.

I though that too, but Lehner has proven he deserves another start at this point.

You start Anderson. You go back to your horse. If he fails, you start Lehner for the home opener. Lehner is probably tired as well.

SSF is right, you don't start Anderson tonight and you basically put the loss on Anderson from last game. Team started flat when Lehner was in nets too so that theory is out the window.

Anderson needs to play right now anyways, Edmonton is eyeing a goaltender.

100 shots in 2 games will do that to yah, lol. #1 by seasons end and probably by x-mas.

Sure, it doesn't really matter anyway. You have two bonafide number ones at this point. I'm gonna be cringing on the first few shots though.

I'm down with this line of thinking...

Yeah, Pageau got 3:02 in ice time last game. His last shift was in the 2nd period. You don't go from that to top-line. But I still maintain that shackling JG with Condra/Neil was not the best move in the first place. And we all know how extremely stubborn PMac can be (JOB).

Speaking of JOB, there are some rumblings that he could be the next call up. He didn't play much last year, but when he did, he was one of our best penalty killers. And I believe there are no halfsies for re-entry waivers so unless someone wants to pick up his full salary, he's clearing.

Keep in mind that they Sens have to pay him the same salary whether he is up here or down in Bingo, and JOB would not look out of place between Condra and Neil, and Pageau is on a two-way, and ...

Checking out dailyfaceoff and goaliepost. Interesting choice of starters by the Wild. They started Harding against the Sabres and will play Kuemper against the Leafs (back-to-back). Are they handing the game to the Leafs? Or is Kuemper their Lehner? Or are they dissing the Leafs by playing their backup after their #1 started against a pretty bad team?

Bringing up JOB for Da Costa isn't the worst idea in all honesty.

I think that was a message sent to Pageau. I think he'll be a lot better tonight personally.

The message started in the 1st period. 3:02 would have been bad for even *one* period, but he still had shifts in the second. It's not like he played 15 minutes in the first 40 and then was benched.

Predictions:

1. Anderson will start.
2. Sens will tighten their defensive play and hold the Desert Dogs to under 35 SOG (not saying much, true).
3. Neil will have a monster game.
4. Unless SDC scores a hattie he will be on the bus to Bingo after they come home.
5. It won't be Zibanejad replacing Da Costa (2 points in 3 AHL games isn't exactly "Lesson learned" numbers).

lol Zibanejad wouldn't not be recalled because he has 2 points in 3 games. That is not why they sent him down.

He needs to play more games and if he has 15 points in 16 games people won't be throwing that around like 2 points in 3 games. It was an awful argument for sure. He needs to show something in those games in the AHL before he gets a call up, lots of points or no points.

NEELY

If he had 10 points in 3 games and he only put up a point in 1 of those games would that be reason to call him up? No, it wouldn't just to put it into context.
