Another winger is what the Sens need along with perhaps another stay at home D man.
Yakupov's stock cannot be treated anymore as a number 1 overall. I would only trade Anderson if it's a highway robbery. Goaltending has always been a tumultuous issue in the sens history so I'd be very hesitant to trade anderson.

But you're right, edmonton doesn't do that deal. Would the sens do it though, considering he's going all russian and all....

Not one for 1 for 1 just part of a package.  Stone and Michalek have little to no value, we'd have to include Cowen or MacTavish hangs up the phone.
Wouldn't trade Cowen straight up for the guy and I disagree about Stone having no value... he has enough for sure. Either way, it's not happening and I could see the Oilers trading Yakupov in a large trade with say Philly and getting Simmonds back and then flipping Simmonds for Anderson, something along those lines.

Sure is but they were actually in talk with Philly for Simmonds so I stand by it!

Couldn't really say no to that, haha... Would have to be a guy like Mark Stone going with him though.

They would kill for Lazar - centre, two-way, Oil-King. Wanted him at the draft.

Their immediate need is a goaltender, then D-man, then defensive responsibility (hard to trade for that). Lazar is not only the right shape for the wholes in their roster, he is not ready to step in yet.

Noesen was traded because they drafted Lazar.

Oh, yeah, missed that. Congrats, man, the full night sleeps will eventually return. Or so I hear. Maybe when I retire.
