I mean i trust management not to say, not to ask. If alfie feels it's his last then maybe he wants to go somewhere but seems like all the noise out there is just wishful thinking on the part of media and possibly other GM's.

Wonder if Bmurr is throwing Luke RIchardson a bone here.....though he didn't play much at all yesterday. Grant should be down there too but need some healthy bodies back before that.

Regin in on the verge I am sure and Da Costa was starting to struggle a little bit. They obviously want Zibanejad up in Ottawa over Da Costa and I think that's what it comes down to. They also need a little help in the AHL so this move makes a bit of sense. Also, Regin will be a lot more effective on the 3rd and 4th lines than Da Costa.

Tough calls right for sure.

Don't think so, I think he felt as if he wasn't hard enough to play against away from the puck. Maybe not though, who knows. I liked his game a lot personally and think it was more of a numbers game.

You sure? How can you understand him through a mouthful of cheeseburgers?

If you have any doubt who our captain will be at some point after The Alfie, watch the Karlsson press conference. The clips you'll see on TSN/Sportsnet will be him looking super-serious saying things like "Cooke was trying to take me out", but in reality all he said was Cooke didn't tried to cut him, but was certainly trying to give him a little something extra...which is pretty much the consensus of the universe.

Watch the entire conference, AND listen to his interview with the Team 1200 after. He was cracking jokes and having a great time. Also, he's getting a Pomeranian dog next week, which he's super-pumped about. The guy absolutely loves life and has an unbelievable attitude.

I'm not certain he'll be the captain right after The Alfie retires (maybe Phillips or Spezza), but he's next in line.
