Wonder if Bishop's getting any closer to being dealt. Is Calgary gonna ride Irving and Taylor? I wouldn't, but then again they're not the best organization right now, so does it even matter?

Personally I hope so because he's a friend and his brother was one of my best for a while who was a really great player as well.

Kipper is only out a few days though isn't he? Not long enough to panic...

Nice, that's cool. He won the battle over Brust to backup Irving, so that in itself is a major accomplishment.

Oh, it's only a few days? Then nothing to look at here.

Lundin and Gonchar are both ready to go tomorrow; Sens will carry 8D for now, but expect one of the Bingo Boys to be sent back.

And Anderson will get the start tomorrow against Carolina. No Bihop yet.

I think Borowiecki will be getting the memo sooner than later... after that expect Gryba to get the next look.

everyone is talking about when bishop will be playing but we've only got a 48 game schedule this year. I believe that the way things are going they might just let Andersson play over 38 or more of those. lots of those are close back to back but it's not like there's 82 of those to play. maybe once we get closer to looking like a sure thing for the playoffs they'll rest him a bit more for the run.

As long as Bishop gets his 7 games and we retain his rights... I'm good with that. Ride!

What do you mean, get the memo?

The memo that says "you are going back".

Because of his low ice times? I dislike that personally, I think he's brought some much needed grit on the back end.

I think Benoit is a better player right now and MacLean loves Weircioch... Weircoich also seems to be gaining a ton of confidence. If they go with 8 D then obviously he will stay and that's probably not the worst idea either.

I like the idea of a revolving door for some of the younger D, at least while they wait on Gonchar and Lundin to get up to speed. Having 8 D would allow for that and would keep the young guys with the team and give them valuable playing time in the NHL.

8 D in a long season like this isn't a bad idea at all. I still think Gryba should get a shot soon.

As Spader was saying, I also like the idea of having 8 guys. Usually I hate sitting prospects, but in a short season there'll be a ton of injuries - especially to old men like Gonchar, plus there'll be a fire behind all of their arses knowing there are guys scratched and itching to come back.

That said, I doubt they waste money on guys if they can go down to the AHL and play games and save the organization money. Boro wouldn't be my first choice, but I've grown to really like Wiercioch's game.

Tough call, much tougher than it sounds.

Also...how the heck do you put a guy in that quick? How many practices has he had? Does he know the system? It's a stretch IMO, he could use some time to tune up.

He's a guy that just fits in with Lundin. He's like Borowiecki but a little better at this point with more experience. I don't think they would have signed him if they knew Benoit was going to be this solid.
