Greening would be alright on that line...could use someone with some speed there.NEELY wrote:Michalek would be another choice to get sent down to Bingo but I don't think there is a chance in hell that happens, but if I was a betting man I think his knee gives out before November is up and he's done as a Sen. Greening will be on the wing with Spezza and Ryan before the western road trip is done if not before it begins.
Maybe next season? Lebda was pretty good for them last year.Ev wrote:Corvo would be a solid presence down in Binghamton. Won't happen obviously.
Nobody is that doom and gloom. But Spezza skipping training camp, maintenance day at the beginning of the season and not looking very comfortable on the ice, it is definitely worth talking about.SpezDispenser wrote:First they try Greening, then they try Pageau IMO. Pageau is where it's at.
EDIT: We're in the Bingo thread here. And why all this talk of Michalek being 'done'? 2 games in and we're already rushing to so many knee-jerk conclusions. Michalek's done! Spezza's gonna be injured all year! Ryan is out of shape! Come on...
Meh, I'd caution people not to get too attached to MM right now. That's the circle of life in the NHL, sometimes you have to let people go who are good players and good teammates. Spezza's talent alone is something that'll lift this lineup - even if he's playing at 70%. And if he can't go, I have the utmost faith in Pageau/Zibanejad/Da Costa to help us through.LeKing wrote:Nobody is that doom and gloom. For Michalek it's very easy. The guy when he is healthy is skating like a man possessed and is hard to contain, also one of hte hardest workers on the team. Not sure he is done but it will be hard to justify a contract extension if he does not pick it up before Christmas.
Ryan, not worried.
I'm pretty sure Michalek will be safe for at least 4 - 6 games before he's scratched in favour of some AHL help.Michallica wrote:They can't get rid of michalek. I don't want to change my username

Michalek will never be scratched for an AHLer but he may find himself on the 2nd or 3rd line if he can't chip in.SeawaySensFan wrote:I'm pretty sure Michalek will be safe for at least 4 - 6 games before he's scratched in favour of some AHL help.Michallica wrote:They can't get rid of michalek. You used to cut Conacher up frequently on here, but I'm glad you've come around.SpezDispenser wrote:I don't feel like editing again, but I strongly feel Conacher will replace MM on the top line soon. They need a guy who drives the net with aplomb - and that's Conacher on this team.
Kudos for Murray on making a heck of a trade it appears.
