Corvo would be a solid presence down in Binghamton. Won't happen obviously.

Michalek would be another choice to get sent down to Bingo but I don't think there is a chance in hell that happens, but if I was a betting man I think his knee gives out before November is up and he's done as a Sen. Greening will be on the wing with Spezza and Ryan before the western road trip is done if not before it begins.

I think Michalek and Ryan will score against their old teams

Greening would be alright on that line...could use someone with some speed there.

Maybe next season? Lebda was pretty good for them last year.

Nobody is that doom and gloom. But Spezza skipping training camp, maintenance day at the beginning of the season and not looking very comfortable on the ice, it is definitely worth talking about.

For Michalek it's very easy. The guy when he is healthy is skating like a man possessed and is hard to contain, also one of hte hardest workers on the team. Not sure he is done but it will be hard to justify a contract extension if he does not pick it up before Christmas.

Meh, I'd caution people not to get too attached to MM right now. That's the circle of life in the NHL, sometimes you have to let people go who are good players and good teammates. Spezza's talent alone is something that'll lift this lineup - even if he's playing at 70%. And if he can't go, I have the utmost faith in Pageau/Zibanejad/Da Costa to help us through.

But yes, there are some areas of concern. Team defence comes to mind. Forwards and defence. We won that first game despite clusterf****ing around in our own zone a lot.

I don't feel like editing again, but I strongly feel Conacher will replace MM on the top line soon. They need a guy who drives the net with aplomb - and that's Conacher on this team.

Looks like ZIbby and Management didn't agree with the kind of game he is supposed to play now. Sounds like the Sens want him to be more of a power forward type, hard on the puck and maybe he thinks he can be more of a playmaker.
Still keeping the right attitude though.

Michalek will never be scratched for an AHLer but he may find himself on the 2nd or 3rd line if he can't chip in.

You used to cut Conacher up frequently on here, but I'm glad you've come around.

Also, it's been two games, can we cool it with the whole "Michalek is done & break up the top line" stuff?
