Boro Cop -- wore the 'C', scored their last goal with 3 seconds to go (after the empty-netter put it away); maybe fill in for Gryba's suspension if the Habs goon it up.

Stone -- how would he do against the Habs? Is he quick enough against their D?

Noesen -- did he even get into any games?

Ceci -- now there's an interesting choice; if Gryba is suspended, would he be a better option with the RHS?

Too many others to mention. Bring 'em all up to get the feel.

None of these guys will see any ice time unless things really go off the rails here. Wiercioch will be in ahead of BoroCop.

I really can't see Gryba being suspended. Like the HNIC panel said, the tit wasn't late, wasn't early, wasn't directly to the head, wasn't interference (Eller had the puck), wasn't charging, never left his feet... If you rule all those out, then what are you penalized him for?

Gryba got a 5 minute major plus a trip to see Shanny because Eller landed, literally, face first on the way down. That's where all the damage happened. Sucks for Eller, but really, if a guy on my team gets hit like that, I'm pissed about the pass that put him in the bad spot and I'm pissed about losing the player, but the person delivering the hit is doing his job and he's doing it 100% the way it should be done.

The only way Gryba is suspended is if Shanny confirms for everyone that, well, he just has it in for us.

interesting how they have O'brien center that line. i'd want both prince and petersson to have a shot at the 2nd with Hoffman as a possible sub in there if someone gets injured. i wouldn't argue against richardson's choice though.

Just because "Mac" doesn't like O'Brien doesn't mean he's a bad player. Anyone who gets to play with him will be A-OK.

Hoffman is a 2nd liner for sure, but I kind of agree. I think what'll end up happening is Prince will move up with Hoffman and Petersson will stay there. Prince is a great player, I think he'll be a force this season in Bongo.

Pretty damn solid lineup though.

I'm not sure. if physicality was missing from hoffman's game in the pre-season they might want him to earn it on a 3rd line. and all the more reason to keep petersson on the top 2 lines as his place is either there or nowhere.

That top-nine is dangerous. Dizzy doesn't seem to fit, but 8 of the 9 can definitely put the puck in the net.

Cody Ceci with the game winner in OT. Richardson said he was the best D by far.

Richardson said he's not going to be playing there for long if he keeps playing like that. Could be taken two ways but meant in the good way, clearly.

Here are the highlights. They lost Boro (whiplash from a helmet-to-helmet hit) and Stone (shoulder) and got down 3-1, then came back with a beauty from Grant, a one-timer from Zibanejad and, of course Ceci's winner in OT (patiently waits out the defender sliding in front of him, then moves in an fires it off the post).

Corvo looking like he looks, Ceci may soon find himself in Ottawa even if I think he should play the year in Bingo. Wideman is also very close.

Corvo would be a solid presence down in Binghamton. Won't happen obviously.

Michalek would be another choice to get sent down to Bingo but I don't think there is a chance in hell that happens, but if I was a betting man I think his knee gives out before November is up and he's done as a Sen. Greening will be on the wing with Spezza and Ryan before the western road trip is done if not before it begins.
