Except Howson is a stubborn Richard.

Sucks for Nash I guess, looks like he may not be in the NHL if he doesn't open his horizons.

Columbus won't take a cap dump.

Also, these teams haven't even taken into their own needs yet - how many of them have re-signed all their own players? How about have a starting roster?

Also, they are different players. Nash creates his own scoring chances, whereas Heatley doesn't. You won't see Heatley dangle through am entire team.

Spezza and Nash are similar players - both are big and ridiculously talented with the puck, but Spezza's more of a passer and Nash a finisher.

60 points is not a bad guess, sounds right. He'll probably be a consistent 30-40 goal guy, which is great. If the Sens can get three 30 goal scorers (Spezza, Nash and Michalek) that's awesome.

Fact is he was the same age as Heatley when he was traded.

Same type of situation too although Nash's is a little more understandable. Sens are probably better off going out and getting a Bobby Ryan more so than a Nash looking at things. He's basically holding a franchise hostage.

There should be a rule in the new CBA, if you have a NTC and ask for a trade, that NTC is waived.

It's exactly the same except Nash has a better PR guy or agent telling him to shut his mouth.

You can say the same thing about Heatley in hindsight as well. Clouston was an bunghole.

Point being is they are holding the teams that gave them everything to date hostage because of their own personal interest. Right or wrong, that's exactly what it is.

Exactly. Same with Heatley. They took their money, promised them how ever long the contract was, then slapped their fans in the face. Nash doesn't have the baggage Heatley did so that comes into play but it's pretty similar.

After his first full season for sure he was a contender for it. How could he not be? That said, his shelf life seem like it was about one season.
