A signed Perry? Signed, Delivered.

That move makes us Stanley cup contenders for the next 6 years if Lehner is what he is destined to be.

You won't be getting a former Hart Trophy winner for anything less than that, that's for sure. To get first crack at Perry it would be more than worth it.

If he doesn't re sign here, that's a very poor use of assets.

If Murray trades a couple of prospect forwards (I can't see him trading this years 1st round pick -- considering they don't have a 2nd) for a good young D that can play now... will they trade Gonchar to Pitts.. or do the Pens wait and just sign him next season.

Gonchar played well in the KHL this year... could the Sens get a 2nd round pick for him?

Sens need more help on D right now than they do at forward.

Can Anaheim risk losing both Perry & Getzlaf? That would just about ruin that team...

We're not trading Gonchar IMO. And perhaps the biggest need is a top line forward...we really need another game breaker to avoid what happened vs the Rangers in the playoffs last year.

the question will be who is the 14th forward? Is it Hoffman who has paid his dues and is having a very solid season? will it be Grant who is tailor made to be a 3rd-4th line NHLer? Will it be Stone to round out the top 6? Tough calls.

Wiercoich is also another guy there is zero doubt about. He will be in Ottawa.

They were only joking about Silfverberg; but it turned serious when he took the puck and hobbled off.

From what I've heard Stone needs more time in the AHL. Once Silfverberg and one of Hoffman, DaCosta or Grant are sent up it should open up a spot in the top six. Stone has been playing a defensive role up to now. He's got something like 3 empty net goals.

I had heard someone suggest that Hoffman would do well on Spezza's wing. Interesting suggestion in that it suggests that he is ready.

I always thought Hoffman would be more of a third liner who could fill in when needed on the 2nd line but nothing wrong with experimenting. Heck I remember Winchester playing on the first line once.

As far as Lundin is concerned I heard he'll miss two weeks.

Wiercioch and Borocop can fill in just fine for now...but yeah, I think if we're a serious playoff team, a move for a d-man might need to be made. We'll need to add in the off-season, if not now.

I think Gryba and Boroweicki are on equal footing right now and Gryba might be able to play that right side a little better than Boroweicki right now.

Yeah, Boro's got a ways to go if he's gonna take penalties like he's doing this year. Bad positioning is what it must be.

Not really, based on everything I have seen and heard it's more him trying to be aggressive and perhaps taking things a little too far. Needs to bring it back a bit but that's what the learning curve is all about. He's not having a bad year at all all things considered.

Gryba being a RH shot puts him a little ahead fair or not, that's the way it is.

Are you sure? I haven't heard glowing reviews from anyone really about his performance. We'll see how Mac and Murray decide, but I could see him getting a full year down there and Wiercioch, Benoit and perhaps even Gryba getting a call ahead of him. We'll see I guess. Too bad about Lundin, he's the guy that could have benefited from this the very most.

It's probably good they get Wiercioch and Benoit into the lineup it's a good thing. They are flying in the AHL and are ahead of anyone that hasn't played a game since the end of their season last year.

Borowiecki is having a so-so year, I have watched most of their games. He's been good physically and I'm sure he's awesome in the dressing room. But he has cost some games by taking some stupid penalties at a very bad time. it's no big deal in the AHL but if you play like that as a call up in the NHL you get sent back the following morning.
