Silfverberg(R)-Spezza(R)-Michalek(L)
Zibanejad(R)-Turris(R)-Stone(R)
Regin(L)-Smith(L)-Neil(R)
Greening(L)-OBrien(R)-Condra(R)

Noesen(R), Petersson(R), Hoffman(L), Puempel(L)

I was thinking that as well. At least Silfverberg can play LW.

Also, since 1992, there have only been 13 Swedes drafted in the top 10:

'93: Niklas Sundstrom
'99: H. Sedin, D. Sedin
2000: Lars Jonsson
'06: Nicklas Backstrom
'10: Hedman, Ekman-Larsson, Paajarvi-Svensson
'11: Landeskog, Larsson, Zibanejad, Brodin
'12: Lindholm

There was the same # of Swedes selected in the top 10 in 2011 alone than in the entire decade+ from 1992-2006.

I don't see any horns.

Maybe he was getting the french word Avocat confused with Advocat? The French word "Avocat" is Avocado and Lawyer / Advocat. Or maybe he was trying to make a funny and we all missed it? Vertigo

He was most definitely making a funny. I got it. I was making a follow-up funny ("Devil's avocado" should have horns). Vertigo Vertigo Ahhhhh!

By the way, I was off on my contracts count. They are at 46, with 4 RFAs to sign (JOB, Gryba, DaCosta and Daugavins). Also the B-Sens roster shows Lehner and McKenna as the only goalies, but McKenna signed with the Blues.

If they want a goalie to push Lehner can they get someone who will sign an one-way AHL contract?

The avocado isn't the Devil though. Perhaps it's just the Devil's favourite type of avocado? Ahhhhh!

I'd imagine there's a deal coming for an AHL goalie using one of our contracts. Certainly have to do something there.

Not really, there are a ton of guys out there they could toss an AHL only contract at to sit behind Lehner and play 25 games. Depends if they want someone to push him or if they are ready to fully hand him the reigns this year. Guys like Lawson, Cann, Cheverie, Climie, Caron or Bacashihua would all sign AHL only deals.

It's true. It's also not the first time I have busted that line out.

For the record, it is a Tracy Jordan-ism.

I'd like to take that line behind the middleschool and make it pregnant.

Not saying he won't make but I don't think he does. The AHL is an option for him and the best one in terms of where he wants to be and where the team wants him to be because the Swedish 2nd league is garbage and any Swede would take the AHL and being closer to the NHL than ever playing in their 2nd league.

Also, no chance in hell JOB is on a two way deal. 0% chance and that's being generous. He's on the team because he decided to man up, work hard, and become a player. He has. JOB is an NHL player and IMO will be a pretty good one.

So what's Murray to do with all the one-ways? He has to make some trades, right?

Not right now I don't think.

Yeah, but we have to wait to see if it stays the same, or goes down under the new CBA. We're good I think.

I was thinking about this today and I think if the player's 'take' in the current CBA is at 57% of total revenue (thus making the salary cap/floor at 70.2/54.2) and they negotiate that number in the new CBA down to around 46% (making a lower cap/floor) I believe the current contracts will be reduced/rollback by the same amount (roughly 20%) meaning we'd still be under the floor.

By how much? Must be only a few hundred thousand. Thank could mean a high priced rookie gets a job over someone like Boroweicki for example.
