CapGeek has Latendresse listed as an RFA at the end of this contract, too, but I see he has 6 NHL seasons accrued already, with this upcoming year being his 7th. Think they have that one wrong -- or, at least, I don't see how it cold be right.
Latendresse was not qualified by the Wild.
Does that make him an RFA at the end?
Not to my knowledge.
When the Wild declined to qualify him, his status went from an RFA to a 'type VI' (or some #) UFA. I just don't understand how he can be a RFA at the end of this coming year after 7 years' of pro hockey, & nor do I see how the Wild's decision while he was an RFA can impact him after he became a type VI UFA, and after he's signed another contract.
