He'll need another year in the AHL to mold his play away from the puck, I doubt he'll make the Sens this year personally. Still a nice prospect though.

He probably played close to the entire game too. I've been part of games like that where the other team is just way better and you are the best of the sad bunch... you get hit with the poor stats no matter how well you played.

Regin signed to one-year one-way

Interesting signing with Regin. One more kick at the can can't hurt? I guess it's another low-risk scenario.

No shock at all that they re-signed Regin. I would have been stunned if they didn't to be honest.

Shocked? No, but I am surprised. It's just one year, I suppose but, still, a one-way with so many forwards who will be making a push.

At the very worst, trade bait. In spite of the injuries, Regin is an asset with some value -- young, high upside. Maybe he plays for us, or maybe we translate that value into something else.

I know some people are probably surprised at this move, but I'm not. I never thought we'd walk away entirely and lose an asset (he was RFA) for nothing. He may never play another game here, but that doesn't mean he doesn't hold value to other teams.

Well, another go around for Regin. With Turris and Spezza taking up the 1, 2 spot, Regin (if he stays healthy) could really find a home as the 3rd line center.

Anyways, it's just another asset and more competition at the end of the day. Makes it even tougher for some rookies to crack that lineup.

yeah I'd like to see what Regin can do on the wing as wel. he might take Foligno's spot on the left if he can't produce. or he can center the third line. that's all if he stays healthy.
also might be part of a trade at a later date.
I would of been completely surprised if we would of walked away from him for nothing. he's got value in some way or another.
