2012/13 Lineup

Again, if you watched him at all in Edmonton, you'd have seen he was lazy, fat and slow. When he got to LA, he actually got worse believe it or not.

For the 50th time, watching him in these playoffs, I certainly see a different player, but we'll see how it all shakes out.

Still not nearly worth as much as Stewart IMO.

Stewart has how many cup rings and he's outplaying Penner how in these playoffs?

What are you arguing? Are you saying that Penner holds more value than Stewart?

Saying they are about the same, yah. Doesn't matter what fans say, it's what GM's say.

While I'm not sure I agree,we should all be happy about that because I doubt highly we get Stewart, but I could see Penner being a target. Let's hope if we get him he's the guy we're looking for.

My take is that Penner would be a free addition, whereas acquiring Stewart will cost.

I'm still having trouble seeing him here and succeeding playing 200ft of the ice like MacLean demands.

Stewart is younger so he might be a long-term solution here, Penner is older, I think we'd have to sign him to a longer deal than we'd like to on July 1st.

If LA goes deep and Penner plays well they have no reason to let him walk and I'm sure he'd like to stay in California.

If you're talking to me, I've watched the playoffs and have said earlier in this thread that I thought he looked better. Pretty much exactly what it says in the article. Doesn't change the fact that I'm wary of signing Penner, although again, I've said in this thread that I'm warming to the idea - hoping that if we do, he puts in this effort year round.

that statement doesn't even make any sense...whose opinion are you talking about?

Not just SD, in fact not really SD at all. Just the people that like to pile on a player when a story about pancakes comes out or w/e other BS the media feeds to them. Mostly HF to be honest but a little around here too.

I would never do that since I readily admit that I would eat Pancakes every single Cussing day if I could. Twice sometimes. There's my dirty little secret.

Greg Zanon please. Great defensive D-man who blocks a ton and isn't afraid to hit either.

Zanon is meh, IMO they need a guy who is solid in his own end that also has a bomb of a LH shot. Too many teams focus in on Karlsson on the PP and he needs a partner out there that's not afraid to shoot and get pucks through.

The more and more I think about Garisson is 100% that guy. People may not agree with it but I would also look at Souray.

Having Karlsson and one of those two out there would allow for the PP to operate with a lot more room down low and make some plays.

I would do Garrison if I had the option - although I was a supporter of trying Souray last summer or whenever Dallas got him on the cheap.

The question is...do we need a more defensive guy back there to stabilize things, or do we want more of a points guy? Offense in this league is being generated more and more from the back end, but it won't help too much if we keep giving up some of the grade A chances we did last year.
