According to an article I read in the Ottawa Sun (yeah I know).. if the Preds win.. those 2 stay out of the lineup.. Good for Trotz... Oh and he said they did not know about the late night partying until after game 2.. or neither would have played then...

Interesting to see Fisher against Vermette in the faceoff circle. I also don't remember Vermette being that good for the Sens in the playoffs... do you?

Good call. Although the Rangers continue to barely scrape by. It's like their gameplan each night is to do enough to win by one goal...which will hopefully bite them in the Donkey at some point. They continue to be my least favourite team to watch this post-season...but maybe I'm just bitter.

The Caps are also playing a very tight-checking style, but they at least have a couple guys (Ovechkin/Semin) that are exciting to watch and actually try to score every now and then. The Rags one regulation goal last night came on a PP, and was the result of a lucky bounce.

Wow. Triple OT. Madness. Nice to see the Preds get the win. Will be interesting to see if Trotz bring Radulov and AK back in. I say no changes to the lineup. Don't mess with success.

Trotz even said, before the game yesterday, that he likely wouldn't mess with the lineup if they won. Grapes seemed to think that this decision could lead to their downfall win or lose, so I guess we'll see.

Could you imagine the controversy something like this would've created here, if say, Spezza and Michalek had been suspended by the team for one game??

I think the only reason they got suspended was because the story got out into the press. I bet this happens a lot but is handled behind team doors.

I bet it doesn't. It's one thing to go out for a couple of drinks, especially if it's a bunch of players together. But to stay out until 4AM the night before a game? Ridiculous even in the regular season. Maybe a bad decision to have these two staying together on the road.

Whether Radulov is their highest scorer or not is immaterial. They lost G1 and needed to have a strong G2, and didn't. Radulov had 1 shot on goal through the first 2 games. He had nearly 22 minutes of ice time in G1 then slipped to 15:17 in G2, and he was -2. Clearly his performance was not where Trotz wanted it to be; was it because he stayed out till 4AM? Could well be.

Yeah... the Stone/Silf shuffling was a bit odd... but maybe there were other things going on that we were not aware of.
