lol who cares

I care when a team is practically so close to moving on and improving one of our picks just to choke it away and lose to a less experienced tampa team.

Improving a 6th to a 7th is like upgrading from VCR to HD-DVD.

Whaaa?  do you even think about the comebacks you write?  HD DVD >>>> VCR, nevermind the fact the technology died out.  If that was the improvement, I'd be even more pissed we missed out on a 6th rounder.

its okay, I'm still waiting for the inevitable to happen after tampa delayed it by winning game 5.

EDIT: you probably should have said VCD....man those things were awful

The point is, both VCR and HD-DVD are equally worthless. Pretty much the same with 6th and 7th round picks.

LOL I guess should look at the bigger picture rather than the literal comparison of qualities.  With that said, I wouldn't say an extra 6th rounder is worthless.  Put it this way, if the sens wanna move around a few times in the draft to get someone they like, it'd be nice to have a luxury of a higher pick.  I'm sure if the sens offered a 6th rounder instead of a 7th rounder, it would perk up the interest of a GM a little more.  Or that the sens offer up their 5th because they have the benefit of 2 sixth rounders.  Possibilities are plenty.

And yes, as Spader said, you can find alot of hidden gems in the 6th and 7th rounder.  And just to piss you off some more, Mark Stone is a keeper and an absolute f'ing steal!!!!  Ahhhhh! (did it work?)

Back to the topic:

Canucks take a 1-0 series lead with a 1-0 win over Nashville. Solid defensive battle, two top goalies duelling it out behind a formidable defensive lineup.

Was a solid game, if a little boring. Rinne is unreal. He's the reason I picked Van in 6. I think He'll steal a couple games.

Oh, Weber's beard is insane. There should be a playoff beard award. Forget his shot that blasts through nets, his beard is the most intimidating thing on the ice.

Ok, not worthless, but you can see they are equal in value. Whoever you get with your 6th you could probably get in the 7th.

Yeah Weber's got a mountain man beard. HE did start growing it early, but still, that thing is barbarian like. Absolutely the beard of the year. The Beardie Awards?

That Canucks/Preds game was almost too boring for me to watch - and I'll basically watch anything.

NHL was bound to have one of those after 9 straight nights of overtime excitement....

let's be honest here. That first round series had to be one of the best in recent memory. I think we can them some slack Laugh1

If the Preds are smart, they'll try to make it even more boring so they have a chance, but yes, the 1st round was awesome.

Yeah, skip the Nucks/Preds series...Phi/Bos and Det/SJ should yield some entertainment. Heck, even Was/TB could get interesting.

Ya, Was/TBL should be high scoring. I'd bet that that series and the DET/SJ will be the ones to watch this round.

Let's hope! I've also seen series's's' like this before where you get two offensively driven teams, and they both make attempts to play tight D and it just kind of turns into watching endless loops of porn intros, before they get their clothes off. You know that something awesome should be happening, but it's just not.

I can't wait for the Detroit/SJ series and the one I'm looking forward to the most is the Philly/Boston series. Hey Boston - this isn't Montreal you're facing now! Ahhhhh!

Bolts take game 1. How does that go -- you're never in trouble until you lose one at home?

Holy cow ( HolyCow! ). That's a huge win for the underdog.

My kid's all miffed at me now. He wanted to pick Tampa in 5 and I questioned the wisdom of that choice, so he ended up going with Caps in 6. I picked Caps in 7 and I think I'm good with that. Ovechkin will have to wake up, though. 2 shots with the most ice time of all forwards.
