I said it on Twitter, and I'll say it here...if Boyle got the only penalty when he gave Karlsson about 7 jabs to the face, all of the craziness would have been avoided. The NHL has no one to blame but themselves and the refs for letting things get more and more violent. Boyle should've manned up and dropped the gloves with Carkner, but I understand why he didn't...I wouldn't drop the gloves with Carkner either. Either way, message sent.

Yeah, sounds about par for the course. Hopefully Shanny gets bogged down in other suspensions and forgets to reduce Hagelin's.

The lack of sense here is astounding, even for the NHL.

Carkner has seriously been so important to the Sens in the playoffs both years he has been here. 1 was an overtime winner (unreal to this day) and the 2nd was what everyone saw last game. No wonder Brian Lee was traded.

Mendes: Alfredsson taking regular line rotation with Turris & Foligno. Seems to indicate he's good for tonight.

Carkner is a prototypical team player.

Apparently after game 2, MacLean went immediately and shook Carkner's hand. What he did clearly spurred our team on…you could tell from the way the boys killed off his 5-minute major, and you could tell from the way we played the rest of the game that everyone respected what he did.

I just hope that we can find another way to win tonight. Spezza and Michalek need to find a way to get a goal or two, and we need to continue to make it difficult for Lundqvist. I'm just stating the obvious though. All I care about is seeing go in behind Lundqvist.

I'd say that I would expect tonight's game to be a little tamer than the previous one, but expect the unexpected. Buckle up!

yeah you'd think he'd be out till symptoms subsides. you don't want him killing himself either.
