If things turn around over the next couple of weeks and the team heats up again, yeah, I guess.

I guess what it comes down to is who has the more upside as a player for the sens....Stone/Noesen/Prince/Puempel? I'm leaning towards Puempel being the most likely to be traded but I admit I'm basing this on having watched zero of puempel in action. I also think sens org likes the idea of Stone and Noesen on their squads.

This all comes down to what I think Rutherford is looking for in a trade for Ruutu. Also why would Ruutu re-sign here when he can test the market which I think he will? Rather not overpay to keep him around, he's a good 2nd line guy but we'll have quite a few coming up soon.

That's usually where a conditional pick or future consideration comes in. If Murray sees fit to move a prospect to make the team better, I sure won't lose sleep over it.

Either way, bring up Petersson please! I'd like to see him with Spezza for 3 games to make an assessment - and now's as good a time as any.

Also, we're short on 1st liners, not 2nd/3rd liners. I don't see how he fits all that well.

Or not at all. Apparently Ryan is not on the market anymore. I caught a bit of Bobby Mac on the pre-game before the Dung game on Saturday and he said that there's almost no way in his opinion that Ryan's moved before the deadline - and he doubts it'll happen in the summer either.

Better time would have been the last 3-4 games of the road trip, when the team was tired, the month was already a success, and expectation for additional wins were low.

Sooner have Stone.... the cost is too high for Ruutu and he may walk away in about 3 mos...

I have a feeling that Ruutu will be a Senator come Friday, at the latest. The cost: Stone, Gryba a 2nd and a 4th. That still leaves our 1st to trade if need be.
