I see a huge package deal for Ruutu and Pitkanen in the works.

This won’t go away: The talk is the Leafs are willing to offer up either C Joe Colborne or C Nazem Kadri to the Hurricanes for C Tuomu Ruutu. Carolina GM Jim Rutherford has been telling teams a deal is imminent. The Sharks are making a hard pitch as well, but GM Doug Wilson doesn’t want to pay the high asking price. Neither do the Senators.

I think Carter has another like 10 years on his contract. Attitude and character are question marks. It's a NO for me ...

Some guy on HF claims he has connections to the Sens org and is adamant that the Sens want nothing to do with Carter.

Thats a good thing Imo because the last time we had a slow footed goal scorer with a big contract and off ice issues, it didn't turn out so good...

Any talk of trading for Carter is mind-boggling. Why in the world would we want this guy on our team, especially considering he's locked in on a 10-year contract??? Ludicrous.

It's three weeks before the trade deadline and the Ottawa Senators are in a playoff spot so they could be in a buying mood. Kevin Allen of the USA Today reports the Senators are looking at adding Tuomo Ruutu to improve their offensive production but the price could be high.

Here's a question....would you part with a Mark Stone if it meant we got Ruutu (at the moment, a future UFA Ruutu)?
