They picked us last because we are 'rebuilding' and none of the players we are 'rebuilding' with are known quantities so they played it safe and picked us last. No one touched upon the fact that some of our biggest problems from last year (goaltending and coaching were resolved). It's not that they picked us last but why they picked us last.

And it's not just THN, Ottawa gets very little credit(where credit is due) in the mainstream hockey media. Everytime the TSN panel discusses the Sens it's hilarious to see the look of disbelief on their faces that this team is anywhere near .500. We were supposed to their butt of jokes this year.

There were many people who figured we'd be a lottery team this year, and probably a few from this very forum. There were many unknowns going into this year, and there are still many unknowns. I don't think we should have rage towards anyone that picked us to finish near the bottom, and aren't WE a little surprised by the team's moderate amount of success so far this year? And we're still on the outside of the playoffs, so it's not like we can discount the negative attitudes towards this team prior to the start of the season.

Who picked Washington and T-Bay to struggle? Washington was one of the favourites for the Cup!

There's too many variables in play to predict how an NHL season will play out...that's why no one gets most of it right, most of the time.
