This has actually been said, Avatar probably read it from the same thing I did. Edmonton's head scout Stu MacGregor said it.

I have flip flopped on every player in the draft aside from Landeskog the entire way, so I really have no idea. I think they will go with Strome if given the choice between the two, but Landeskog is still their guy.
Didn't I read somewhere that the upside for Lando was a solid 3liner?

He added 20 lbs last summer, so who knows. Burmistrov was a pole when he was drafted...
Ultimately though, another year in Junior would be better, hopefully a longer playoffs run. We don't need a game changer next year.

Depends on if you are planning a parade next year or a few years down the road, right? And, as much as most here seem to be against it, I'd take Couturier. He a center, which is a burning need (we sent Fisher and Kelly packing, remember?), he is big (he could add some mass, for sure, but he's got size and we all know you can't teach that). Isolated by Spezza on the 2nd line, with lowered expectations this coming season for the team, he can take a bit of time to grow into the role. And playing alongside The Alfie he could certainly learn from the best when it comes to grit, determination and defensive responsibility.
We've got wingers (Alfie, Michalek, Foligno, Butler, Greening, Regin -- sorry, I still don't see him as a 2nd line center on this team) but we're shallow at center. A lot of players who have played center before but can't make it at that position in the NHL. I'd even go as far as grabbing the two best centers we can in the first round, because we certainly need to also look 5-6 years down the road.
