Edit: It was actually Martinek who got the penalties.

ESPN had it in reverse. Weiss did get the penalties, Martinek was the victim.

I flick to it if you're doing something like that. I sometimes can't watch a game, I appreciate someone at least talking hockey in some way - it can be slow on a Sunday afternoon.

Anyone remember what I said when that trade was announced?

Crazy prediction out of nowhere - Montoya scores today.

You guys have no idea how close I was to getting this prediction right. I based this call on the fact that Montoya is one of the best goalies out there at playing the puck. He always, always has the puck on his stick, moving it up to forwards. I figured this would be a close game, with the Islanders leading by 1 or 2 late in the game.

Sure enough, Montoya played the puck all game, making some great head-man and outlet passes. With the Islanders leading 4-1 with 3:17 left, Montoya had his chance. Instead of taking his shot at the open net, he let Moulson get his hattrick.

Damn you Montoya, but great game anyway. 80 of 84 shots stopped since the trade. Keep it up.

But no, he never took a shot at the net; so I wasn't really that close.

But he had a chance. Haha.

I was excited either way.
