Can't believe nobody has mentioned it yet, but Vancouver's defence just took another major hit if you can believe that.

Andrew Alberts broke his wrist in tonights game. I didn't think much of it at the time it happened because he continued to play with it for a bit, but then eventually, left the game.

Hamhuis, Edler, Ballard and now Alberts. Salo is due to be hurt soon. Crazy times in Vancouver.

Now, if only Phillips would waive his clause.

Would they be desperate enough to take Kuba off our hands?

Poor Vancouver... Phillips has been somewhat of an ironman in his career, so they really should pay up for him.

They are playing well and would be a shame to not make a move to go all the way. Canada's best chance for a cup.

Price goes up with each injury. Also wasn't Salo hurt in the last game as well? I heard he got hurt but I didn't know if he finished the game or not.

It's a first and prospect as your initial offer to the Sens IMO. There seems to be a bidding war so I can see us getting at least that.

Al Montoya with the win on Sunday in relief in the game. Congrats to him.

Some Neanderthal (Gillies) took a long run at a Pens' player (Tangradi), leaves his feet and smashes him into the boards. Then he drops his gloves and gives him a couple of sucker punches while he's doubled over. Then he lords over him taunting him.

Then this arsehole only got a 9 game suspension. Luck that was only a dream.

I thought it was comical how zenon kenopka was defending gillies saying 'he has a family to feed and now won't get his $35K in salary'. really Zenon? he should have thought of that before he acted like a complete asswipe.

And yeah I agree, this guy should have gotten way more, especially for the sucker punch after injuring the player....what the hell was he thinking??

I've said it before, I hope he makes the most out of this great opportunity and what could be, his last chance.

Yeah, I actually lol'd when I read his quotes. Diddle the family, how's Tangradi feeling right now? Concussed you say? Then forget about the 35K you'll lose Gillies, let's make it an even 60K. Good? Good.

I'd take Hodgson no problem... but it would be for more than Phillips. Maybe they can take Kuba too -- or should we send him to San Jose.

The best part about that conversation is he blantantly stated that with the score being 6-0 they decided it was time to send a message.

Funny how the NHL didn't feel what Talbot did to Comeau the week before was either a headshot or a blindside his, but the Islanders decided to take it matters into the own hands.

Further he stated that they were just trying to protect their players. Really..what happened in that specific game to their top players that warranted the melee. Nothing, but it was in reaction to what happened the week before.

He even went so far as to mention how Dipietro was going under the knife and hinted that's why they went after Johnson...

Laughable, that they blame Johnson for Dipietro getting his Donkey kicked. The more he talked the more he dug himself into a hole and I wouldn't be surprised if the NHL decided to hammer the Islanders as a result of his stupid comments.
