7 years, 6.5 million per year is the offer - and I'm sure that's along the lines of what he's looking for.

i'd do it but swing rundblad instead of cowen. anyways that's like giving away 2 1st rounders. i'd even throw in a 3rd, but could we switch this years 1st for next year? who know where we'll be then but with a healthy spezza and parise and a re-tooled line-up we could be making the playoffs again. we might be sellers now but we'll be buyers july 1st.SpezDispenser wrote:Flo The Action wrote:i imagine he'd be re-signed to a long extention? because that a steep price for a guaranteed one year.

Who would you like back from the Habs? I'm not really a big fan of their prospects, would it just be a pick? I find the Boston option far more appealing.
Their 1st.

This is a good time to have healthy D, isn't it?
EDIT: And be out of the playoffs...
Yes indeed. SJ has to be in that war as well. I expect a nice return, I really do. Don't mess this up Murray.

You name a better choice right now, & I'll try not to laugh.
Dash wrote:Well, I don't see why that is funny. Obviously he's not a guy the Sens want to move, but that is drawing interest, so why not set the price high?
That goes for just about anything. You might have a really nice car worth $4000 market value, but it is worth more to you to keep it and would cost more to replace it... so if someone offers $4000, why would you sell it if you really don't want to? But if someone offered $10000 then maybe you would.
Dash wrote:You can make changes without moving everyone, and you also don't move a player for the sake of moving them without getting value in return.
Fisher's going to continue to be a good player to have on the team, at least until the time to move him comes.

Looks like a poison pill to me. Which is funny, IMO. And tells me this team isn't serious about making changes.
