Not an indictment of Clouston but certainly we'd be looking at a different team right now, IMO. Look no further than Drury on the 4th line/faceoff specialist for evidence of The Fonz's brass-ballery.

At the very least he'd provide us with some entertainment.

Seriously! That's one thing that's really bugging me with this tank-nation that's going on right now. Can they at least score a few goals to keep it interesting? Or get into some fights, something! That game was just brutally boring to watch last night, zero entertainment for a Sens fan.

Torts wasn't hired because he would have wanted a longer term contract. With our history Melnyk doesn't want to commit for a lot to a coach who historically has a good chance of getting sacked.

Same deal why we got Fartsburg instead of DeBoer.

It'll be interesting what they do with CC's replacement because I still can't see Melnyk giving a long term to an established coach (not that there is anyone noteworthy available).

It may very well be someone like Cameron, Dineen, someone who just wants a shot at the NHL and won't be picky on the money or term.

I've heard Brad McCrimmon mentioned as well (currently assistant coach on the Wings).

We should try and poach anyone off the Wings to fill our vacancies

Paddock is off the books now due to finding another job right? Is Hartsburgh's money off the books now too? If so he has a clean slate and empty budget to work with for the next coach so I can see him spending to get the right guy this time but who knows.

Why was there no official anouncement then? No recall notice, no newspaper reporting on it other than the Sun saying they saw Locke at the Hotel.

All I ask is that we get a coach this time that has NHL coaching experience. I've had just about enough of these "experiments".

He's good friends with one of Joy's (from the B-Sens) friends and told him as it happened. Plus, my buddy knows him and e-mailed me the same. I guess it's not 100% official until the Sens announce it, but I was confident when I started that thread.
