To me, the end of this season sucked. I feel like the Florida Panthers, who continually suck, and never end up with a high enough pick to nab a franchise player, rather than doing it right and sucking all the way to grab a guy at the top of the draft, like Tampa has recently with Stamkos and Hedman. Given the two choices, I'd much rather follow the Tampa model.
Keep the faith that they're interchangeable is all I can say. With the possible exception of Strome (perhaps not on the same level) and RNH (potentially on a higher level), I see Larsson, Huberdeau, Couturier, Landeskog all pretty much as equals. If we're left with Strome and it's not who we want, then we got f-ed in the damn lottery, otherwise, they're all safe. 1-6 + Murphy and Hamilton are all relatively safe picks in my eyes.
However, yes, obviously I'd prefer to be drafting 3rd and getting my chance at Larsson or Lando or whoever we want basically.
