I think it is neat. Some guys have really increased their draft position based on their performance. I actually think it would be interesting to try the combine for myself. I would probably die though.

Really? I would think some guys might drop slightly if they didn't do well but the rankings hold pretty fast except for "sliders" usually.

Remember when Darren "Lipstick" Dutchyshen did the combine last year? He destroyed the bench press, but I think ran out of gas on pretty much everything else. It's mainly about endurance…and yeah, my heart would explode.

His workout regime includes kicking teenagers asses, allegedly. Boxing

Which is why I expect young Bryan Murray to aggressively attempt to get into the Top 4.

Our hope as semi-educated fans is that he doesn't panic and give up too much to get in there.

Pretty sure Taylor Hall, Tyler Seguin, Jeff Skinner weren't "men among boys" either.

Thinking Hmmm...good counter-argument, but I still have to agree with Timmy on this one.

Try to trade up with Florida. Switch their 3rd with our 6th and one of the two later 2nd round picks.

Also try to get Gudbranson. It has been reported he does not want to sign in Florida. So they will have to trade him or he will re-enter the draft if not signed by the deadline.

Package Weircoch -- plus whatever else is needed (within reason) to get him.

Imagine Gudbranson & Cowen in a couple of years as the shutdown pairing.... yeah.

Yeah, I doubt Huberdeau or RNH are 'killing' it at the Combine.

Gonna take a heck of a lot more than a 2nd round pick to move from 6 into the top 3. Like...Nashville's 1st +.

RNH has been one of the most impressive by all accounts.

Couturier and Huberdeau not so much.

It's 3 spots?

Think of it this way. If we'd ended up with the first overall, what would you think if we trading down to 4th for a 2nd round pick?
