Edmonton really REALLY needs to find a way to draft Ekblad.

As for Ottawa, I think there are a few intriguing options in the 2nd round (we pick 40th I believe).  There are guys that are risky, but I think it might be worth taking a shot on.

If we can find a way to get Marcus Pettersson, the 6'4 167lb d-man out of Sweden, it could be exciting.  The big knock on him is his lack of physicality and obvious weight deficiency.

We already have a tall skinny D-man. Took him 4 years (?) to get here.

Who is this Anton Karlsson at #40? Coincidence or fate?

So there's probably a generational goalie here that will go in the 7th round, right? Hope we still have our 7th round pick.

Draft doesn't "stink" but there just isn't the top end talent that a lot of other drafts have.  Yakupov draft stunk, that was the dud.

The depth isn't good. Dorion says it is his worst draft as a Sen.

Disagree a bit but we'll see.  If a superstar comes out of this draft it's one no one saw coming.

Good year not to have a 1st, I guess.

There might be something to that. This might be a good year to take a few swings at fences and pick up some high reward, low risk players. Stone was one such player a few years ago, and he seems to be working out.

I bet there will be a lot of "movement" or trading of pics... not a stellar draft this year. A good one for the Sens to miss the first round with.

Put him on a line with Lazar, he's gonna become a superstar.
