Diddle, I didn't look at the actual list, that doesn't sound right.

Big Ev wrote:Sean Couturier is the pick! Same initials as Sidney Crosby and the Stanley Cup...can't be a coincidence!
Murray was at the game last night. Too bad he didn't score!

Landeskog could fall to us IMO. This draft is way too unpredictable to say there is no chance of that, or Larsson falling, happening.

He was a ghost the entire series and if he played like that since Feb/March no wonder he's slipping in the rankings.

He's averaged almost 2 PPG since the World Juniors and has carried his team by himself in the 2nd half. There may be reasons to dislike his game, but he definitely hasn't played the dissapearing act for more than 2 games at a time at any point this season.
I still have Couturier ahead of Strome and Huberdeau (although I see the skillset that people like with both these guys).
The guy I actually have flying up the rankings is Dougie Hamilton, this kid is absolutely unreal and reminds me of a Pietrangelo/E.Johnson mix with his 2way ability.

He will be picked in the top 5 for sure I would think. Looking at a team like NJ, you would almost have to be brain dead for them not to pick a guy with that kind of size and potential. They need D in the worst way. The wild card in all this is Florida, no one has any idea what their plans are.
NEELY wrote:Colordao passing up on Larsson would surprise me in all honesty. If they take Larsson I would think that number 3 pick would be totally up for grabs though if Murray wanted to make a move for it.
Edm - NRH
Col - Larsson
Flr trade with Ott - Landeskog
NJ - Murphy or Hamilton
NYI Murphy or Hamilton
Ott tradw with Flr - Courturier.
I could see it going like that as well.
Yeah, it will most likely come down to a deal made on the floor just before they pick...SpezDispenser wrote:It's hilarious how things change on almost a week to week basis. If that happens I can see the Sens trading up with Florida to nab Landeskog. We might not even know until the very second of Florida's pick frankly.

NEELY wrote:If Larsson goes top 3 which I am sure he will I don't think NJ passes up on a D man... thing is they could also go with Murphy. A fast, speedy puck moved in NJ's system is key, they have struggled since Neidamayer left in that aspect, even more so since Martin left as well.
If there is one wild card team it's Florida, if there is one wild card player it's Murphy.

He's the only reason Drummondville was even contending.
He was not a ghost for the entire Gatinieau series. He was still hitting a lot and scoring some goals, but he was definitely drained. Whoever gets him has a steal on their hands because he will be healthy going into next year and he will be able to train and prepare for the season properly, unlike this season due to his mono.
I personally think the Sens would have him 4th in terms of forwards, but who knows.
