You'll crap your pants if we have the third pick and RNH is available and this happens:

Gary Bettman: "We have a trade to announce! Ottawa trades the third overall pick..."

Take it with a grain of salt, if you haven't already.

I think all she did was take the revised CSB rankings and applied them to the current order based on position in the standings.

That said, while I love RNH scoring ability and tenacious style of play he is only 167 lbs. 6'0 167 at 18 scares me, you can only put so much weight on when your that type of body. Landgeskog on the other hand is already big, but he doesn't have the offensive ability that RNH has.

Then again, a friend pointed out that RNH didn't score much in the 1st half and he really took off in the 2nd half. Is he streaky, just got lucky? He had 65 points last year which is not bad, but it's no where near where he is this year. Is it that he's suddenly got it, or he's playing with better players making him look better?

Landeskog on the other hand had 44 last year and with missing 10 games this year he's at 66. The thing that makes me sway towards him is the people in Kitchener seem to think he's all that and a bag of doritos...and I love doritos.

The guy everyone is starting to talk about is Strome, but he's another guy who did barely anything last year and the year before, but suddenly he's scoring like crazy.

Laugh1 That reminds me of the Cowen year with MPS still on the table. I was stunned.

RNH took off because he simply gets better everyday, like most superstars do. He also shoots more these days, probably finding his scoring touch that's all. It's like Crosby when he found out he could score 50+ goals. Has all the tools, just need to apply it.
RNH looks to have a nice frame, large enough shoulders I think he can get to 190 lb in 2 years. And he is still 17 for another month (alright, nitpicking) THen again, when you're elite size barely matters. Pat Kane dominates, Briere and Giroux are dominating in the playoffs and they are the smallest players on their team. I don't think these guys are even bigger than 180 lbs, though I wouldn't bet my life on it. Don't really care about size. I care about strength, and he doesn't lack some.
As for Strome, he added 20 lbs in the offseason and was pretty much a 16 year old rookie the year before so he improved a lot last summer, strength, skating, speed, shot...

I am not sold yet on Lando creating his own offense. He is playing with the leading scorer in the league as well as the most dynamic offensive defenseman in the OHL (aside from Ryan Ellis). Then you have RNH and Strome who are in a league of their own on their respective team and offense is basically built around them.

Like I said, I won't cry if we get Landeskog but a top 3 pick in a draft I better get a guy who I can build my offense around.
I think it's safe to say we need a center at least with one of the first 2 picks, do we want a potential elite N1 center, with a good big top 6 winger (NSH pick), or a potential N1 winger but may end up just a good top 6 winger, and another potential top 6 center?

So RNH is officially rated 1st overall at the moment. Will he keep it up until Draft day?

Crazy how things change in a few months, Larsson has fallen to 3rd. Couturier has been bouncing around from 4th to 6th.

This is cool to see, from December 2010 - ISS Rankings;

Wow, look at Huberdeau rise! And Couturier fall, but Strome remains at 7. Very interesting.

This is Craig Button's list. He tends to stray from the consensus picks. I always find his picks interesting for that reason.
