I've heard good things about him too. Of course, his size is enviable.

Yup, the one thing you can't teach. He's a bit of a project but him being in University gives him a ton of time to develop and if they want him to come out sooner to play in The AHL, great.

The Sens may be super deep on the blueline but you can never be deep enough. They will get a potential franchise forward with their 1st pick so the forward prospect depth is already deeper by leaps and bounds. Load up with another D man that can perhaps play in your top 2 one day, at worst a mean bottom 6 guy.

Murray and The Sens have 3 2nd round picks to swing for the fences with some offensive guys or move up to the late first round if there is a guy they really like that is still there.

I wonder what happens if Edmonton takes RNH or Landeskog, and Larsson is on the board when we pick (#2 or #3). I would much rather draft Landeskog or RNH over Larsson, but they always say you draft BPA, and if Larsson is who the Sens have ranked highest, then I guess that’s their pick. Let’s hope it doesn’t come down to that. We SO need a decent forward prospect over another D prospect at this time. I realize we could always trade a D prospect for a forward prospect, but that complicates the situation.

Larsson going 1st overall would make life very simple for sure. Edmonton is drafting in the top 2 so we'll see if they go with Larsson or RNH. If Ottawa finishes 2nd I hope someone bumps them from 2nd because at least at that point the decision will be easy and it will be impossible to make a mistake.

I agree with Tim, I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but I'd MUCH prefer RNH or Landeskog over Larsson, but if it came to us and he was there at 3, we'd set our D for the next decade +.

Yeah, that too. I'm kinda counting on Edmonton taking Larsson frankly, leaving us and Colorado to Lando and RNH - with my preference now with RNH (slightly over Lando, who I obviously love as well).

If Edmonton takes Larsson, then - assuming we finish bottom 3 - there's no wrong answer IMO. I'm counting down the days until this season is over so we more or less know where we stand, then I'll start getting excited.

I don't even like speculating what the Sens will do with their 1st - too many options: RNH, Larsson, Landeskog

I don't know how a team can pass up AL if he's there, even if they don't need a D.

And I would like them to draft Puempel too.

Who would be your personal pick out of those 3?

3 players is not a plethora of options really, it stands to reason that we'll get one of those 3 - hopefully.

Well there are a lot of options. For all we know, it could be someone completely different. Plus there's also the 6'4" Sean Couturier who was the only player not drafted to play on the WJ's but he is getting disregarded as a top pick.

I know it is ridiculous to think of having Karlsson/Larsson/Rundblad down the right side of your d-man depth chart, and there's likely no way you could satisfy all three of them enough financially and with ice time to keep them around for very long.

Ottawa could use a guy like RNH, and if he is anything like Duchene, I want him on this team.

Landeskog also is intriguing because he's the first European to wear the "C" for Kitchener, a very prestigious honour for a prestigious team, and looking at past players to wear the "C" like Mike Richards, makes you think he is a quality player in many ways.

And the fact that both those players admitted to being fans of Ottawa make it really interesting. I hope that camera crews are following the Sens management team similar to what is being done with the Oilers with "Oil Change".

RNH would give us a solid 1-2 punch at centre that we've never since the Fishlander set up a beaver dam on the #2 centre position. We'd be following a similar team model to Pittsburgh.

Landeskog would give us a fiesty skilled forward, we tend to lean on smaller, finesse players who shy away from physical contact.

Larsson may or may not be the BPA, but I can't see where he'd fit in, we'd have to trade one of the other D-men. No guarantees there.

This team needs more talent upfront not named Spezza and a soon-to-retire Alfie.

So I was talking to my buddy who works with the Sens. Apparently Landeskog is the guy they want (big surprise). They consider RNH too small and "not NHL ready".

So nothing really ground-breaking there, but all us Landeskog fans can be happy knowing that he is "the" guy. Now we just need the pick that can land him...don't be surprised to see Ottawa trade up if we need to.

Trade up with Colorado...I don't like the thought of that at all if they're in the position to take him. Fresh off the Anderson for Elliott trade, Sherman (if he's still GMing) might want to take advantage to save some face.
